10/10/2013 at 01:00 PM ET

KARLIE KLOSS THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY from Moda Operandi on Vimeo.

Even with access to some of the most amazing clothing and most high-profile fashion designers in the world, supermodel Karlie Kloss can still claim that there’s a fashion item she still dreams about but doesn’t own. She’s part of a series filmed for online designer boutique Moda Operandi all about “the one that got away,” and she joins fashion superstars like Caroline Issa and Leandra Medine to share wistful memories of a fashion moment they missed.

Shot during New York and Paris Fashion Weeks, these famous fashionistas curl up at the St. Regis while describing that one perfect dress they let slip by in sweetly humorous stories. Kloss, for one, remembers the way a Chanel suit shot by Steven Meisel made her feel when she first started modeling at 15 and says she still aspires to be “that girl” in the photograph.
