Is Blake Lively the New Gwyneth Paltrow?

In between marrying one of the sexiest men alive, hitting up fashion shows with Anna Wintour, buying and decorating a house and you know, acting, Blake Lively has found time to launch her own business.

In a recent interview with British Vogue, Lively announced that she’s starting a lifestyle brand, which according to her, is “about storytelling and it’s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that. There’s nothing like it out there — it’s without a genre.”

Nothing like it out there? Wellllll, that might be a bit of a stretch, Blake. This sounds vaguely similar to Gwyneth Paltrow‘s GOOP. But just because Lively’s idea isn’t groundbreakingly original doesn’t mean we’re not crazy-excited about her new venture. And actually, we’re really hoping that she follows in Paltrow’s footsteps and puts out a weekly e-newsletter with Lively-specific tips.

In fact, we’ve come up with five tips we’d like to her to cover in her first newsletter.

How to cook and eat delicious, decadent dishes and still look like this: We know the girl can cook. We’ve seen her culinary skills in action before. Plus, she spent her 23rd birthday cooking alongside the pastry chef at the highly-acclaimed New York restaurant Per Se. And the dessert table at her wedding was reportedly epic. And did we mention? She looks like this.

How to pick the perfect gift. She’s doled out present-giving tips before (she says they have to be timeless, but we want specifics) so maybe she’ll share a few more tidbits. Also: Should your cards always be signed XOXO?

How to instill serious hair envy in every single person. There is no one on the planet more suited to give this advice than Lively. No one.

How to always dress incredibly and without the help of a stylist. Sure, we love it when the GOOPster shares her fashion tips, but we’re especially interested in how a 20something woman who doesn’t have a background in fashion (save for her stint as Serena van der Woodsen) wears hit after hit sans the help of an expert.

How to find someone as hot as Ryan Reynolds. If she also shares how to get the guy to give an engagement ring like hers, we’ll be loyal fans of her new business and newsletter.

Are you excited about the company that Lively is starting? What lifestyle tips would you most like to learn from her?

She seems so much more down-to-earth than Gwyneth. Ms. Palrow appears to be very out of touch with the average woman based on much of her GOOP content, which I believe is one of the reasons that people “dislike” her so much.

Lord.

She seems like a nice person but the idea she had no fashion background but still looks amazing is a little too much. Prior to Gossip Girl, her style was pretty standard and nothing to write home about. If I had to guess, being on Gossip Girl and being around the high end fashion, learning about style, watching the stylists put together stuff, being in New York, she was able to pick up on a lot of things. I wouldn’t doubt that she’s reading fashion magazines and blogs, going to style sites like Polyvore. Polyvore by the way is probably like her life, you have an endless supply of clothes to choose from and with her status and money she gets the nice stuff and you experiment.

Her hair on the other hand is nothing to envy. Her ends always look brittle and fried when she straightens it (see above picture) or she looks like she rolled out of bed, in a bad way, and couldn’t be bothered to brush it.

Blake seems very down-to-earth. NO, she isn’t the next GP. She’s way better.

Okay, why would anybody care about this 26 year old’s lifestyle tips? She seems like a nice enough person but she’s been on one major TV show and she married an actor. She didn’t even get very attractive until she got a nose job and boob job.

Will read hers…….seems so much more down to earth, and funnier too. Gwyneth appears to be unrelated to real women in any way shape or form. Watched her cooking a couple of times and she knows what shes doing.
