Is Blake Lively the New Gwyneth Paltrow?
In between marrying one of the sexiest men alive, hitting up fashion shows with Anna Wintour, buying and decorating a house and you know, acting, Blake Lively has found time to launch her own business.
In a recent interview with British Vogue, Lively announced that she’s starting a lifestyle brand, which according to her, is “about storytelling and it’s about living a very one-of-a-kind, curated life, and how to achieve that. There’s nothing like it out there — it’s without a genre.”
Nothing like it out there? Wellllll, that might be a bit of a stretch, Blake. This sounds vaguely similar to Gwyneth Paltrow‘s GOOP. But just because Lively’s idea isn’t groundbreakingly original doesn’t mean we’re not crazy-excited about her new venture. And actually, we’re really hoping that she follows in Paltrow’s footsteps and puts out a weekly e-newsletter with Lively-specific tips.
In fact, we’ve come up with five tips we’d like to her to cover in her first newsletter.
How to cook and eat delicious, decadent dishes and still look like this: We know the girl can cook. We’ve seen her culinary skills in action before. Plus, she spent her 23rd birthday cooking alongside the pastry chef at the highly-acclaimed New York restaurant Per Se. And the dessert table at her wedding was reportedly epic. And did we mention? She looks like this.
How to pick the perfect gift. She’s doled out present-giving tips before (she says they have to be timeless, but we want specifics) so maybe she’ll share a few more tidbits. Also: Should your cards always be signed XOXO?
How to instill serious hair envy in every single person. There is no one on the planet more suited to give this advice than Lively. No one.
How to always dress incredibly and without the help of a stylist. Sure, we love it when the GOOPster shares her fashion tips, but we’re especially interested in how a 20something woman who doesn’t have a background in fashion (save for her stint as Serena van der Woodsen) wears hit after hit sans the help of an expert.
Are you excited about the company that Lively is starting? What lifestyle tips would you most like to learn from her?
