Aaron Paul, Seth Meyers and Matt Damon were the ones up for Emmy awards Sunday night, but we’ve got to break it to the boys: Their plus-ones totally and justifiably stole the spotlight on the red carpet. It’s not that the small-screen stars weren’t dapper in their tuxes (they were); it’s just that their wives looked so amazing.

Aaron Paul didn’t win the statue for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama, but with his smoking hot new wife Lauren Parsekian by his side in a strapless, champagne gown with a cleavage-baring sweetheart neckline, we can’t imagine he was feeling bummed. (In fact, we’re pretty sure Paul is incapable of feeling anything but gleeful next to his new wife. Just watch this video of him to see what we’re talking about.) Parsekian accessorized her pretty gown with an A. Jaffe diamond necklace (weighing in at 10 carats and $108,018) and a perfectly undone updo.

Newlywed Meyers was also overshadowed by his wife’s standout style. Alexi Ashe selected a black-and-white Carolina Herrera gown that editors were immediately smitten with. We also love that she decided to pull her hair back to show off the unique halter neckline.

And after wearing quite a few sequins himself (for his turn in Behind the Candelabra), Damon let wife Luciana Barroso wear the sparkles in the relationship. She hit the carpet in a gold Naeem Khan gown featuring a simple, curve-hugging silhouette and allover wavy sequin stripes. Wonder if he felt a tinge of jealousy, standing next to the dazzling dress in his plain ol’ tux.

Which of these three wives outshone her celebrity husband the most?

I love Luciana’s gown! She outshone the most in my opinion. They may not have the newlywed glow, but they glow none the less – their love and respect for each other is always refreshing to see!

Very lovely. @Lindsay- I totallyo agree. Love Luciana and Matt!

I so HATE those strapless dresses that look like they are sliding down the wearer’s body – makes me squirm with the urge to pull them up. Maybe they wear them half way down their boobs to make them appear to have more cleavage, but it looks so ridiculous! Don’t they look in the mirror?

Pull it up! on

I agree with sister3. Pull it up! I don’t know why they were those dresses so low. I hate it!

Luciana for the win, please.

I see nothing attractive about Lauren’s dress. Looks like it is 2 sizes too small on the top. She is a pretty woman but not the dress! Luciana’s dress is gorgeous and fits her perfectly. Wish her hair looked better. Alexi’s dress is just OK in my opinion. Nothing outstanding. And, she definitely needed a better hairstyle also.

Im sorry but dont most wives outshine husbands on the red carpet?? Unless you’re Elton John, theres only so much you can do w a tux….
