Emmys Trend: See Three Green Gowns On the Red Carpet

Green is considered good luck, so perhaps that’s why so many stars picked out gowns in the shade for the Emmys. Or maybe they just love how they look in the jewel tone. Whatever their reason, it was definitely the It color of the evening, with actresses wearing it on their gowns, via their jewels and even on their eye shadow.
Mayim Bialik went all out on green, wearing the color on her gown (which featured a green illusion neckline and green beading on the sheer sleeves and waistline), a green Swarovski clutch, green onyx earrings by Bellarri and an emerald-and-diamond Takat ring with a price tag of $210,000.
Sarah Hyland doubled down on the color as well, stunning in a CH Carolina Herrera gown with a black lace overlay, accessorized with jewelry in the shade du jour.
Anna Chlumsky chose a slightly deeper shade of green via her strapless Badgley Mischka gown, though she chose not to load up on green extras, but rather to contrast the color with a bright-red pout.
And stay tuned for photos of Lena Dunham’s green shadow, which she wore to complement her floral green dress.
What do you think of all the green dresses? Do you prefer blacks, whites and reds or do you like this fresh shade?
