5 Gowns Worth Seeing on the Emmys Red Carpet ... So Far

Stars are arriving at the Emmy Awards so fast that it’s making our fashion-loving heads spin. But here are some of the first looks to hit the red carpet that you definitely don’t want to miss.

Heidi Klum is apparently a fan of the turtleneck trend because she selected a burgundy beaded Atelier Versace gown complete with a train.

And speaking of interesting necklines: Mindy Kaling. The Mindy Project star wears a short-sleeve plum Edition by Georges Chakra gown. It fits her perfectly, but style editors here are divided on what’s goin’ on at the d├ęcolletage. What are your thoughts?

Zooey Deschanel went out of her comfort zone, opting for a silvery-blue J. Mendel column gown with a thigh-high slit, a keyhole cutout and yes, even an open back. The New Girl star accessorizes the look with a sparkly Edie Parker silver clutch and, perhaps most shocking of all: no themed mani.

Taylor Schilling is showing a lot of skin in her pale Thakoon gown, which boast a high center-slit and a very sexy side view.

And finally, we’re all talking about Connie Britton’s strapless Naeem Khan gown with its golden embellishment. What exactly we’re talking about: the material (you’re not seeing things; it is, in fact, velvet). Say what you want about it, but we think we can all agree on one thing: Her hair is perfect, per usual.

So, what do you think of this first round of must-see gowns? Do you love any of them? Do you have another favorite look?

Heidi’s dress is not attractive at all. She’s so beautiful, why don’t her stylist put her in something simply stunning to enhance her beauty? I don’t get it.

Zooey is lovely.

Zooey’s dress I hate to say looks like a bride’s maid dress, but a nice color….

ARE YOU SERIOUS?? Not one of those gowns is attractive. Connie looks like she’s wearing a sofa throw from Downton Abbey. Zooey’s look is more suited for Michele Obama. And, sadly, Heidi looks like she borrowed a Las Vegas showgirl’s gown she wore in a ‘Salute to Hookers’ in 1989.

Heidi always looks amazing!
