Did you feel a slight shift under your feet today — as though something were very different, but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it? Well, be mystified no more: Hilary Duff has left her ombré roots in the dust and returned to her Lizzie McGuire-era allover blonde locks.

“Bye bye ombré hair! Just a strait Blondie,” the star Tweeted along with a selfie of the new do, adding a shout out to pal Casey Miller: “@uppercasey love kickin it wif ya.”

And shortly before the big reveal, she shared a shot of herself in foils, writing “This needed to happen @uppercasey dem roots were gettin cray.”

Cray or not, we happen to love Duff as a blonde, so we are very excited for this groundbreaking news and can’t wait for a better shot so we can render our final verdict. Tell us: Are you into Duff’s back-to-blonde do?

actually she’s starting to record a new album. I really like her, I think she’s refreshing. She seems really down to earth and a great mom. Good for her.

Umm, she doesn’t look any different. Another dumb article.

I love Hilary Duff- she’s the one Disney star that I’m not ashamed to have watched as a pre-teen.
