Kate Bosworth's Wedding Dress: Watch Her Get Fitted For It In Oscar de la Renta's Studio!
We were dying to know more about the elegant Oscar de la Renta gown the star wore down the aisle, and now, thanks to Vogue Weddings, we were able to go inside the star’s N.Y.C. wedding dress fitting with the designer himself and his head tailor, Raffaele Ilardo. And boy, was it beautiful.
“Oscar is the most legendary designer, in my opinion, ever,” she says in the video. “He has such a great mark on American elegance, and I’m such an admirer of his life and his work. There is no one else for me.”

The camera circles Bosworth as she tries on the muslin for what will eventually be an ivory radzimir satin strapless gown with an 8-ft. long, 16-ft. wide train. And the jaw-dropping rear view was a collaboration between Bosworth and the designer himself. “Because I love minimalism and I love a clean line so much, I knew that I didn’t want any embellishments in the dress,” she says. “So I spoke to Oscar [and] he loved the idea about having the drama in the back. So I knew that was going to be perfect.”
True to Bosworth’s fashionista reputation, she has plenty of opinions on how to make the gown fit in perfectly with the dramatic outdoor setting. And she sweetly talks about her relationship with now-husband Polish (and flashes that stunning engagement ring!), giving us a romantic glimpse inside their love story.
