A Chic Way to Show Your State Pride

09/02/2013 at 06:00 AM ET

If you’re an observant trend-spotter, you’ve probably noticed Julianne Hough wearing a Utah pendant around her neck, Eva Longoria and Jessica Simpson sporting Texas, Anna Kendrick in a Maine necklace and Katy Perry and Giuliana Rancic in California. Well, we tracked down the state jewelry just for you (fine, and for selfish reasons too — editors here wanted ‘em) and we’re hooking you up with a discount.

The state pendants are 130 bucks (not bad considering they’re sterling silver and are crafted by celeb-loved designer Maya Brenner), and with our exclusive discount for first-time Joyus.com shoppers, it comes out to $110.50. (Enter STYLE15 at checkout.)

SHOP MORE JEWELRY, FASHION FINDS AND EDITOR-TESTED BEAUTY PRODUCTS!

Click here to order the necklace. And once you’ve got yourself covered (priorities), consider ordering one as a gift. It makes an awesome personalized present for someone who’s moving or going away for school and will want to bring a little bit of her home state with her.

Happy shopping and gifting!

I’m from Colorado. That much for a simple rectangle? I’ll make my own.

And how can you tell CO from WY??

Promo code does not work

Charli on

This only works if you have recognizable state like Texas, Fl, or California.

Brooke on One Tree Hill was wearing this two years ago.

Got one when The Today Show had a promotion with these at $25 each. They are not worth more than that. Don’t pay $110+ for a thin sterling silver necklace. Google state necklaces and you will find one for a more reasonable price.

$130, for that? And my state is CO, so it looks like a box for crying out loud.
