You know that trend we noticed back in July? The one where ’90s supermodels were stripping down to show that their bodies were as smokin’ as ever? Well, it’s continuing — full force — in the September issue of Interview magazine.

The magazine enlists seven legendary models (Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, above, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington, below, plus Stephanie Seymour, Amber Valetta and Daria Werbowy) to each front their own dramatic cover, shot by noted fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott). And inside, the stars bare all — both in revealing interviews and super-revealing photos.

Once you’ve finished being totally floored by the models’ artsy nude shots, you’ll want to get into the interviews themselves, for juicy details like what clothes Moss is saving for her daughter, how Campbell considers Moss her “little sister,” how Turlington sees the height of her career as “exploitative” and why Werbowy still feels surprised that people find her beautiful.

Check out all the highlights at Interview’s website, then tell us: What do you think of the shots? Who’s your favorite supermodel?

Tyra Banks was my favorite. I’ll never forget she was on a shoot in Thailand circa 1994 and she was absolutely beautiful. Hazel eyes, wet hair, big boobs and tiny bikini. That’s the moment I wanted to be a supermodel.

Now I’m 5’7 215 lbs so that obviously never materialized lol

Supermodels are the ones at the top of their games. Now anyone who models is considered a supermodel.

gdgdgg – care to post a picture of yourself?

Why? What’s the big deal? They don’t look anything like the typical everyday beautiful woman. It’s an impossible standard and glorifies something unrealistic.

I think we all forget that these photos are always airbrushed and touched up, so what do they really look like? Who knows

Linda is simply stunning. The #1 supermodel of the late 80’s early 90’s.

I’m not saying these women aren’t beautiful or haven’t aged well. What I am saying is that these women are airbrushed/Photoshopped within an inch of their lives. It’s not right to teach our daughters that this is the standard of beauty- a standard that these models, in the flesh, don’t even live up to.

Why are these women considered “super” models? Naomi Campbell has anger issues, Kate Moss is a druggie, not to mention they’re all homely and look like they could use a cheeseburger or two.

Christy is my fave

Carrow — love your observation on Tyra and your honesty about yourself. I bet you are beautiful too :)

Cindy Crawford, anyone?

FINALLY! Models real models on a mag cover and in a mag spread NOT reality stars or actresses.

harlequin : naomi, kate, christy, etc are supermodels bc they have name and face recognition BEYOND the fashion runways.
