From Date Night to Brunch, Exactly What to Wear This Weekend
There are a few stars that we see again and again in this column. Reese Witherspoon often has the perfect work-appropriate outfits; Jamie Chung can be counted on for a brunch-perfect ensemble and of course there’s no shortage of Miranda Kerr-in-slinky-dress appearances to spice up Saturday date night.
But one frequently featured star embodied all three looks this week, so we thought she deserved a whole weekend of looks just to herself. Without further ado, we present to you What to Wear This Weekend: The Kristin Cavallari Edition.
Saturday night: So this Saturday night, you’re going out with the girls just to dance, no boys allowed. This is the outfit you’re going to wear. Silky cropped harem pants, so-saucy heels and a blousy, lacy white top are a little too “girl-hot” to qualify for a sexy date night, but there’s something about this look that just demands to be worn while Blurred Lines plays in a dark club.
Score a little J.Lo flair with these $30 pants from her Kohl’s line. A pair of ankle-strap pumps (love this Nine West pair) and a saucy little Free People tank round out the look nicely. Let the Instagram selfies begin.
Sunday brunch: If “Denim Vest Obsessed Anonymous” exists, several PEOPLE StyleWatch editors are going to have to join, based on the rate of denim vest appearances around the office. And it looks like Cavallari may be joining them. This denim-on-denim outfit is perfect (and perfectly effortless) for a recap brunch after a night of debaucherous dancing. Add flats for comfort and a hat for hiding under-eye bags and you’re good to go.
Monday morning: Does your office allows jeans? Then this outfit is an excellent example of how to do denim right. Slim dark jeans, a crisp white tee and a pinstriped navy blazer is polished and classic, and the sunny pumps add a little pop of personal style.
