We cover a lot of lady style on this site — the good, the bad, and everything in between. And while we love a hot guy in a tux, it tends to feel as though there’s only so much you can say about a man in jeans and a tee.

But every once in a while there’s a guy who is nailing his style so well that we’re practically required to give him a virtual high five. In the past, we’ve given props to Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper and Matthew Morrison, and now we’re inviting James Marsden to join that rarefied club.

In N.Y.C. promoting 2 Guns, the actor transitioned seamlessly from high fashion (a Dior Homme plaid suit with a skinny tie and pocket square) to lumberjack chic (cuffed J Brand jeans, a plaid button down and the sunglasses staple of hot guys everywhere, aviators) to laid-back cool (note to guys: leather jackets — his is Dolce & Gabbana — instantly work if you’ve got chiseled cheekbones and piercing blue eyes).

So to Mr. Marsden, we say: We salute you for bringing the heat during a rainy week in N.Y.C. And to any girls trying to spruce up their significant others, you have our permission to print this out and leave it somewhere conspicuous.

Tell us: Are you as into Marsden’s style lately as we are?
