The Hottest Red Carpet Accessory This Week: Questionable Cleavage

We are big proponents of the saying “If you’ve got it, flaunt it” — within reason, of course.

So after seeing three stars this week cross that reasonable line, we felt the need to call out Kate Upton, Tyra Banks and Paula Patton for abusing the privilege of having phenomenal décolletage by putting it on display in a less-than-fabulous manner.

We can’t fault supermodel Upton for wanting to try the sheer trend, but when your chest requires you to wear super-supportive undergarments, it’s best to show off other assets under gauzy fabric — like a killer back or great legs. Even a plunging neckline would have been super-sexy, but this peek at her hardworking nude strapless number totally negates the allure of the sheer style.

Banks’s cardinal cleavage sin? Pushing her gals up so high that she risks a total knockout with one wrong move. Looking saucy is one thing; looking like you might suffocate is quite another. One final thought: If you do find that your earrings are grazing your breasts, it may be time to swap out the earrings or the pushup bra. Or both.

Finally, Patton makes the mistake of just going for too much. A good rule of thumb is to expose top cleavage or underboob — showing both can be overkill. Add a way-up-to-there slit and the look is head-turning, but not for the right reasons.

Tell us: What do you think of these ladies’ latest looks? How would you tone them down?

Kate’s is the worst. Her boob looks like it’s the head of a nursing baby.

They all look ridiculous. It’s not like they can’t afford clothes that flatter their bodies.

Kate isn’t showing cleavage. That’s just underboob.

Why shame someone for their body? Bodies and breasts of all shapes and sizes are beautiful. Including the ladies in these photos.

Anyway, people are not going to be happy no matter what you wear. SO WEAR what YOU want, ladies!

Do They all just go to the plastic surgeon and say-‘fill up my entire chest cavity’? They are all ridiculous looking-and I am sick of looking at these deep caverns of cleavage-jeez-Moderation in all things, people.

Upton’s is a bit obscene. The other two not so bad except Patton should lower the zipper a bit.

Really Ladies, how about showing a little class here, your in the public eye not speed dating, they should all know better, esp if they have stylists and even if they dont its not the first time they dressed themselves to go out in public! Kates underboob dress is so raunchy and classless I would rather see her on the cover of Sports Illustrated in her next to nothing bikinis!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol not all women with big breasts have implants…get over it. Tyra Banks even had an ultrasound done on her breasts on live tv a few years back to prove she was all natural. I think she got caught with a very bad facial expression in this picture (almost like she can’t breathe because her breasts are pushed up so high) instead of all the work people are claiming she had done in their comments. Kate Upton’s dress wouldn’t have been bad if the part underneath her breasts wasn’t sheer … but it doesn’t look horrible on her, just odd. And Paula Patton doesn’t look that bad either…she and the dress are both gorgeous but it is a bit too low cut for my taste. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but some of these comments went overboard on harshness and it just seems so unnecessary. We’ve all made a questionable choice or two in clothing at some point in our lives…some people really need to lighten up.
