Abercrombie & Fitch is entangled in another PR nightmare. Just one month after causing a serious outcry over discriminatory clothing policies, the brand has angered what seems to be a very large population of its shoppers — Taylor Swift fans.
After a T-shirt with the slogan “# more boyfriends than t.s.” (seemingly poking fun at the singer’s tumultuous love life) hit stores, Swift’s loyal army of followers were quick to express their disappointment.
So quick that the retailer already pulled the controversial top from its shelves nationwide.
And if you’re a Swift fan calling to try to voice your disgust, you’ll immediately get a message addressing the subject.
“If you are calling regarding the Taylor Swift T-shirt, please note that this item is no longer available,” the recording, via Oh No They Didn’t, says.
Abercrombie & Fitch also turned to Twitter to quell the wrath of Swift nation.
“Hey #swifties we no longer sell the tshirt. We <3 Taylor's music and think she's awesome!”
