Nicole Richie's Met Gala Hair: Already In the Night's Top Ten, and it Hasn't Even Started

Number 5 on our reasons of “Why We’re Excited for the Met Gala” was “Big Hair.”

And leave it to Nicole Richie to not even make us wait until the red carpet to fulfill our wishes.

PHOTOS: Check out all the star arrivals on the PEOPLE.com homepage starting at 7 p.m.!

The star left her hotel in an elegant, embroidered white gown with a high neck, which she offset with a seriously hair-raising do: an up-combed pompadour spray-painted silver that contrasted with her bronze skin and dark wine lips.

If things are getting this funky before the night even begins, we cannot wait to see what’s on its way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art as we speak.

Tell us: What do you think of Richie’s hair?

Nicole is a beautiful young woman……so why she wants to look older than she is …..? Please I hope that ‘s a wig.

Hate the hair, but her skin looks great. Flawless and dewy. She should always rock a tan.

Smells Like Kardashian on

she looks like someone in her 60s. it would be very attractive for a person that age.

Pam on

Eww!

Pam on

She looks like Frankenstein’s bride with that hair. Lol!

She’s trying to look like Daphne Guinness, just like one of the Olsen’s did several years back. It doesn’t work. Like her or not, Daphne Guinness is unique, and the only cue these wannabes should take from her is to make their own styles rather than try to mimic hers.

The theme is punk people – she looks great

She looks like a bautiful version of Cruella DeVille…I’m not sure how I feel about it but that’s what instantly came to mind-an elegant Disney Villain:)
