Happy Birthday, Victoria Beckham! Let's Look Back At Your Style Through the Years

Victoria Beckham may be spending her 39th birthday “having a special day with my boys and Harper,” but we’re spending it reminiscing about her style and debating which outfit era was best.

The artist formerly known as Posh Spice has come a long way since her “Wives and Girlfriends” look in 2006 (far left) when it wasn’t so unusual to see her sporting long blonde curls, teeny tiny jean shorts and a pair of shoes we’re pretty sure she has burned since. She then went through a very avant-garde phase, wearing all sorts of wacky get-ups on the red carpet with an asymmetrical blonde crop.

Next she went for society mum, chopping her hair into a pixie and wearing luxe furs and plunging dresses. And most recently, she’s transitioned from her “power businesswoman” attire to a more relaxed, denim-centric wardrobe for her move to London.

There were so many amazing Beckham looks we didn’t even include; though she may be the birthday girl, her wardrobe is the gift that keeps on giving to us. Tell us: Which Beckham style phase was your favorite?

She always looks stunning. Although the Spice Girl faze was a bit much but yeah, made her a household name. She’s gorgeous.

I didn’t mind her with the short hair. It works on her but her longer hair is much prettier.

i like her looks with the long hair, both on the left and right. I used to think her short blond bob was really cool, but now it doesn’t seem like her any more. I have always envied how she can keep such a good figure. She will always look great.

I wonder if not smiling is a tactic against the papparazzi. Great to see the Beckham family together and going strong. Best wishes on her birthday.

She looks like she needs a cheeseburger… Not sure why ‘unhealthy’ equates to looking ‘great’

I love the fourth look

Maura on

Love the 4th and 5th look, it looks more natural. Where did her huge boobs go?? Too skinny or reduction?

Aneta on

Maura, there was an article on DM that she had the implants taken out. Good for her, looks so much more proportionate now.

Victoria Beckham is gorgeous and so is her daughter Harper Seven!

I like her look now! She’s really down to earth but still “posh” :)

She looks better than ever now… love her and her beautiful family!

Just wish she would complete her looks with a smile.

No one look is better to me, I don’t care, bc she’s just always stylish.

I love the power businesswoman look (the black dress with a plunging neckline).

I have a hard time understanding why every time someone is a normal healthy size for their bone structure, someone says, “She needs a cheeseburger!”. Why do you think being healthy and slender is bad, and being overweight is fantastic?? Aaaggghhh! So irritating. Victoria Beckham is very pretty, and she has a great figure. She is obviously not too thin–she has had 4 children without any problem. Get over it!

I have always admired Victoria. She is an amazing wife and mother and also juggles her career. She is beautiful, no matter how she chooses to wear her hair or how she chooses to dress. She just looks great!!! I think she is one of those who can wear any hair style and any hair color. I only wish her lots of happiness.

Why does everyone worry about her weight and her smile. I agree with Marky. She has given birth to 4 children without complication, so she is very healthy. And SO what if she does not smile a lot. How can she not be happy? Handsome husband, 3 handsome sons, beautiful daughter?? Successful career? Leave her alone!!!!

She always looks great–i love the third look–I almost cut my hair during this “phase”. but really she looks gorgeous in all of her “phases”. she obviously loves to change her look and experiment. I noticed (as some others noted) that it appears that the implants are gone.

She never hid the fact that she never smiled because she had bad teeth when younger. Once she had all her teeth fixed, she said it was still difficult to smile because she was self conscious about the fact that she always had bad teeth.

She mentioned she had bad skin (acne) when she was younger and bad teeth. I think she is some what still insecure about her looks. So she tries to make it up by dressing up all the time wearing high heels even when she had a bad back. Also trying to stay very think. She never smiles which is a little odd to me she doesnt seem happy to me.

I like the two rightmost looks the best.
