Will we be seeing less of Miranda Kerr in lingerie?

According to reports, Victoria’s Secret has decided not to renew Kerr’s $1 million contract, despite the star being one of the brand’s most recognizable faces.

Though the brand won’t confirm the speculation, sources behind the scenes tell PEOPLE there’s some truth to the pervasive diva rumors. “She can be difficult at shoots and appearances. She’s not very timely,” the source says. “She’s standoffish with the rest of the girls.”

But that wouldn’t be enough to get her the ax, the source continues. “If Miranda and Victoria’s Secret part ways it’s not because of her behavior. It’s purely contractual. She’ll be coming back for the show but it’s unclear if she’ll be in future campaigns. But she is definitely one of the most popular models and in high demand.”

For their part, Victoria’s Secret released the following statement from president and chief marketing officer Ed Razek: “Miranda Kerr is one of the best models in the history of the business — and easily one of the most popular. She is also a consummate professional,” he wrote. “Any rumors to the contrary are simply untrue. While her international commitments have kept her away from us more than we’d like over the past few years, she will always be an Angel to me … In fact, I’ve already invited her to walk the runway in this year’s fashion show and, happily, she’s agreed.”

Tell us: What do you think of Kerr possibly being let go? Who would you like to see be the next Victoria’s Secret Angel?

I’m sad to see her Angel contract end, but she was a fantastic Angel, maybe it’s for the best and she won’t end up awkwardly modeling in the show when she’s 40 like Heidi Klum did.

I don’t feel that Victoria’s Secret has been handling this “transition” period well. They’ve been sporadically adding new Angels and ending contracts since 2005, and none of the girls they’ve hired really have the “it-girl” factor of Adriana (Adriana is arguably the face of the brand). They’ve been attempting to parlor Candice Swanepoel into the brand’s new face but I don’t think that is working out.

I feel like anyone signed on as an Angel starting with Doutzen Kroes (who was signed on following the 2005 show) and onward doesn’t have much staying power with the brand.

I’m surprised to see Miranda go, if anything I thought with the addition of Karlie Kloss that either Erin or Lindsay would have left.

Miranda is a beautiful Angel. Would LOVE to see Gigi Hadid as the next VS Angel. She’s got the right look and an amazing body, with the height!! GO TEAM GIGI!!

She and Candice swanepoel are my favorite but it saddens me to learn that she may be a Diva. As Jordan says, this is an easy job and how dare you act out just because you can.

Maybe she’s pregnant or that car accident she was in forced her to think about what her priorities are- spending more time with her husband and son??
