Who Has the Better 'Voice' Style: Shakira or Christina Aguilera?

If you watched last night’s season 4 premiere of The Voice, you may have noticed two major additions (Shakira and Usher) and one significant absence: Christina Aguilera‘s inimitable judging wardrobe.

After several seasons of Aguilera’s wacky headpieces and show-stopping hair rivaling the action onstage, new judge Shakira’s decidedly more low-key look was either a total snooze or a breath of fresh air, depending on your perspective.

Both stars favored similarly sparkly black tops for their judge’s seat ensemble (above) though Aguilera jazzed hers up with a headband, jewelry, a fan and patterned tights. Their first performances of the season, however, couldn’t have been more different (below): last year, Aguilera opted for a silver sequined bustier and knee-high boots, while Shakira chose a black mini and lace-ups last night.

We’re loving Shakira’s chic monochromatic outfits so far, but there is a part of us that will miss Aguilera’s theatrics throughout the season. Tell us: Whose Voice style do you prefer?

I like Shakira’s style so far much more. Plus, I think she is a more genuine person and is fun to watch

Christina gets my vote

Shakira was 5 or 6 months pregnant when the blind auditions were being filmed…can not tell. She dresses for her body and is far and away more likable than Christina.

Shakira, definetly. I was soooo over Christina’s boob show!

I’m missing Christina. She has the pazazz, the showmanship to make it all work … it’s the personality I miss.

Xtina on

Women bashing other women who are strong and fearless. its a shame that most of the negative commments about xtina are from women. So did you all want someone like Britney on the show who didnt even speak a word and was more concerned about the image. Christina always spoke her mind even if it would create a wrong image. She gave constructive criticism and was really involved with her team. Yes shes a pop star and like to have theatrics in her performance/wardrobe but she kept it interesting. I love Shakira but the show is missing something which made me love it in the first place.

Shakira ROCKS on this show. She’s hysterical and you can tell the guy judges love her sassiness. She isn’t a total stuck-up I’m-too-good-for-this type, like Christina was. I think a lot of people were disgusted by how crazy she dressed and how much skin she showed, at least I know I was! Shakira looks hot but still keeps it classy, prob b/c she knows a ton of kids are watching and she cares about being a good role model! I love her! Besides, since when are people watching just to see what the female judge is wearing? If anything, Christina turned me OFF of watching b/c of her bad attitude and bad dressing. Usually it takes awhile for a new singing competition judge to get into a groove, but Shakira is already doing great.
