Forget pin-straight strands or long, wavy locks. The hottest haircut in Hollywood these days, thanks to stars including Miley Cyrus and Anne Hathaway, is short and sweet — and the latest celeb to rock the style is Maggie Gyllenhaal.

The Won’t Back Down actress ditched her shoulder-length bob for a super-short, piece-y pixie.

And thanks to Gyllenhaal’s new do, we hardly recognized her. Dressed in a sheer tee and printed pants, she looked like any other low-key Brooklyn mom walking around her N.Y.C. neighborhood with her kids — though those giant movie-star shades might have tipped us off.
