Madonna’s Latest Controversial Outfit: A Cub Scout Uniform!

Madonna has certainly never shied away from controversy — and now she’s actually looking to be a part of it!

The singer, 54, donned a Cub Scout uniform to honor Anderson Cooper at the GLAAD Awards in N.Y.C. Saturday. The Boy Scouts of America are currently under scrutiny for their longstanding ban on gay members — and, apparently, pop icon singers.

“I wanna be a Boy Scout but they won’t let me!” Madonna wrote on her Instagram account. “I know how to rub 2 pieces of wood together!” (Also on her list of scouting skills, per her speech at the awards: “I have a very good sense of direction. I can rescue kittens from trees.”)

Madonna is just the latest celeb to take the Scouts to task for the anti-gay policy, but she definitely went the extra step in donning the uniform and giving it signature Madonna touches like fingerless gloves and sheer tights — which she’d likely have to ditch if she does get accepted to the Boy Scouts one day. They’re hardly camping appropriate!

I believe in standing up for what you believe in…but do it with some class and less cussing. Geez…I would think that after a certain age she would stop cussing like a sailor…I don’t think Madge takes a stand on what she believes in with any class.

Regardless of your stance on the issue, the fact remains that the organization is free decide who comes in or not. If you were “forward thinking” enough, perhaps you embrace that everyone has an opinion and free will and start your own group.

Does anyone know the story behind the Boy Scouts? Why should they face scrutiny simply because they do not agree with the culturual idea of morality. Christians love to twist the word of God to jusitfy their way of life. Their organization has standards and guidelines period. They are entitled to them period.
