Why, OH WHY……is THIS ADMINISTRATION being shoved down our throats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was OSCAR NIGHT NOT an EFFING POLITICAL RALLY!!!!!!!!!!! I’m So SICK to death of these people!

Poor Suzy Diamond. Your world is ending and there is nothing you can do about it!!! Yet, more to the point of this post – she looked lovely and appropriate and talked about the importance of arts in our culture and society. As First Lady, she is an ambassador for our country AND our culture, and I think her comments totally reflected that.

What a cheap shot…………. any reason whatsoever to get your face on camera again……even during an entertainment show. Sick of the crossing over of politics and Hollywood

I was blown away I was soo excited. Who better than to seemingly downplay the exciting intruduction of the 1st lady than Mr Jack Nicholson I loved the entire show

They could have done much better than that.

Doesn’t she have something more important to be doing? I don’t want to see the president or First Lady on talk shows or at the oscars, I want them to be working… they must have something better to do.

She looked very lovely, and I thought she was terribly out of place. She didn’t belong awarding the best picture Oscar. I wish the Obamas would stop wedding themselves with Hollywood.

hey people who are clutching their pearls over the utter disgrace of our First Lady announcing the big winner — did you not hear what she said when she began? She noted how important the performing arts are to children – which just happens to be her big thing, you know all the children of the US. The Obamas, as well as most democrats, and that is probably why they asked her to present. Would you rather have a republican when it’s the republicans who have been trying to take away all support for the arts like the way they slashed public broadcasting? geesh, figure it out people, everything is political in this country

The first lady was and is positively lovely! Very appropriate for her to be a part of the Oscar’s. Her presence on the show was a reflection of both history and our changing times. Please think outside the box people. Kudos to the Oscar folks for such a good decision and making such a powerful statement.

Wow, people… We have some rude people around. Who cares if she should not have been there or not. I didn’t watch The Oscars but I think it’s cool she popped up. You all need to grow and get over yourselves.

It is shameful, that we are spending taxpayers money on a live remote from the White House on Oscar night. I am so glad that hard working Americans had the opportunity to see there money at work. So sad.

I really wish we could have enjoyed the night without politics and the Obama’s being thrown in our face. The dress was pretty but her bangs were too long and she either had very bad dry mouth or something was up with her lipstick because it looks like her teeth were getting in the way of her speaking!

Fabulous. The FLOTUS was magnificent as always. Far more comfortable and ‘natural’ in front of the camera than 90% of the “professionals’ who had been presenting awards all night.

So proud of our First Lady’s poise and style and charm.

I cannot believe all the hate here; just bigots running amok. Don’t tell me you are not racially biased because no other first lady has ever been so maligned or criticized. Mrs. Obama is intelligent, well educated, beautiful and stylish. She works hard for her causes, for which most of you criticize her. If she were white, there would be accolades, not complaints. Just how do you think she got on the show? They asked her! Fools! Then you blame her for participating. Bigotry is alive and well in the United States of America.

REALLY??? Here’s the FLOTUS sucking up to part of the 1%!!! The Obama administration is totally oblivious to what the common people are going through. This administration is more concerned with taking vacations and hobnobbing than anything concerned with the welfare of the USA. Hollywood is the only one watching the Oscars, so Mrs. Obama isn’t being a diplomat- she’s being a ritzy snob.

She’s on the same level as a Kardashian. Desperate for attention. All of this is going to her head. She is desperate to be seen as some kind of Queen. Who were those people standing behind her? Her guards? The sequester is about to happen, and millions of people are about to lose their jobs.

She has no class at all, and it’s embarrassing for our country.

Ignorant people think that wearing the latest designer dress makes you beautiful and elegant. It doesn’t. Beauty is something you are born with. You either have it or you don’t. And elegance comes from how you carry yourself. None of that can be bought.

As for MO, she doesn’t understand how to conduct herself. In the past, Hollywood fawned all over the President and First Lady and wanted to be elevated to their level. Now we have the opposite, with the First Lady lowering the office down to Hollywood’s level. She wants to be one of them. (Look at that clownish Jimmy Fallon appearance.)

What a mess. I wish she would use her time more productively and stop degrading the position.

It was a class act adding the First Lady to give out the award. In the past Laura Bush was a part of something with the Oscars and 2 previous presidents. This first lady is down to earth and can be with the everyday people and with kings & queens. Those negative people need to get over it or move out the U.S. if they have a problem with it.

Elanor Roosevelt or Mother Teresa she definately is NOT….she could, however, become a prominent SPOKES model for dental and orthodontic care to be a necessary part of any health care insurance plan…of course she and her husband actively represent the interests of a minority of the people in this country…so it obviously really doesnt matter what or if the rest of us think INDEPENDANTLY and have our basic constitutional rights protected friom the tyranny of a minority government..which apparently now is the subject of yet another Iranianarms coverup deal
