Heidi Klum: I Have No Idea What I'm Doing With My Hair at the Oscars

With the Academy Awards mere days away, Hollywood’s hottest stars are prepping their head-to-toe looks and scheduling hair trials. With one notable exception: Heidi Klum, whose dress must arrive from France before she can make any decisions. (Supermodel problems!)

“[My dress is] being made in Paris right now and being flown in on Friday,” Klum tells PEOPLE. “Once I try it on, I will think of my hair style. The dress is always first, then the hair, makeup and jewels.”

But don’t expect to see Klum to show up with a brand new do (unlike some other stars we have in mind): She’s got no plans to go short at the moment.

“Some people might not like when my hair is shorter, including my daughter Leni,” the face of Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy says of her most petite fashion critic — and for the moment, Klum agrees. “I did cut a short bob twice — and grew it out again. I just love long hair. I’ve cut bangs again and again too, [then] grown them out. It’s back and forth!”

As someone whose hair goes through the wringer (“I do get my hair colored, curled, straightened, teased — you name it, my hair takes it!” she says), Klum says she relies on Clear to keep it looking red-carpet worthy.

And is there anyone whose mane she covets? “Julianne Moore has the best hair in Hollywood right now,” she says. “I love her color and length. It really suits her.” Sounds like they’ll have something to talk about on Sunday night!
