LeAnn Rimes Has Bangs: See the First Pic!

First, Duchess Catherine cut hers. Then, Michelle Obama made the cut. And now we think we can officially declare bangs to be the hairstyle to have, because LeAnn Rimes has debuted her blunt new fringe on Twitter.

“Love my Andy LeCompte! I got banged,” she joked on Twitter of the new cut, along with a photo of her smiling next to the renowned celeb stylist. “Love em! Was time for a fun change.”

So what prompted Rimes to reach for the scissors? “I woke up one day and wanted a change,” she tells PEOPLE. “I saw a photo [of an artist] at Capitol Records and I loved her hair, so I cut it the next day.” The photo depicts an unidentified woman with a glam ’70s vibe, blunt bangs and dramatic eyeliner — pretty awesome inspiration.

The star stepped out the night before her Saturday cut in a glam mini and her signature loose, blonde waves. But she decided not to take her new do for a spin on the Grammys red carpet, tweeting “I like my PJs better!”

We can’t say we blame her, but we hope she doesn’t keep the finished cut under wraps for long. We need more bangs inspiration for our Pinterest board.

I am not a huge fan but I like the bangs and we need to see a better picture..although this article is about her bangs, of course it’s going to revert back to her being a sleaze, cheat, etc…well there was a very good statement made in the movie “French Kiss” when Meg Ryan confronts her ex fiance’s new fiance and the new fiance says “I did not steal anything that did not want to be stolen” hence..it takes two to tango, and Eddie is just as, as fault…

My wife owns a hair salon and says that ever since Mrs.Obama cut her hair with bangs, the trend has been overwhelming. Out of an average of 40 cuts a day, 30 are with bangs. she says it’s really sad when someone who really shouldn’t wear bangs insists because they want to look like the First Lady. Friday she had an 85 year old lady with the famous blue hair and she wanted bangs. She got them and the look was horrendous I heard but she was thrilled.
