Miley Cyrus: My Short Hair Is Here to Stay — Forever!

Personally – I love her short hair! It’s so much more different than all the other extension-clad celebrities nowadays. It’s not your typical blonde or chestnut long wavy hair. I think it’s sexy on her, she can style it any way she wants to because it’s so versatile. Love the way its styled in the third pic!! Plus it sends a good message to girls that you shouldn’t care what anyone thinks and that it’s cool to be creative, expressive, and a little funky. So way to go, Miley! :)

Until he drops hints or tell her he misses her long hair! Guarantee she’ll grow back or wear extensions

Hope she isn’t planning on getting any more lead movie roles…she might be able to play someone’s punk teenage daughter. She really is a pretty girl and it’s great that she seems happy…but dear God at least keep the bangs a little longer. That middle picture looks ridiculous!

I think she looks awesome. I was never a big fan of hers during the Hannah Montana phase, but the more she grows up and the more confident and sexy she becomes is fantastic. Its nice to see a young woman do what she wants and not care what the public thinks, Im sure it has to be hard to be ridiculed every day but somehow she always holds her head high!

Now if she would do something about those teeth she would be a very pretty girl!

I don’t know a man alive that prefers short hair over long. I’m sure she’ll grow it out again within the next year if Liam has anything to say about it.

It’s definitely her opinion. Out of the photos at the top of the page, she looks best in the left photo. But in my opinion I do like her with longer hair. If she doesn’t want the longer hair she could still grow it a little longer. I liked her with the shoulder length too, I thought that looked really flattering. She could easily get tired of the shorter hair as well. I get tired of my cuts.

All I know is a person shouldn’t say “forever” or “never” at her very young age. Ask me how I know? LOLOL Been there, done that. Things always change, Miley…and…one day, you too, will be 20-something, then 30-something, then40-something, my love, and, look back and wonder how time went so quickly by.

But, I have to say, her new ‘do has grown on me. Once I’m done growing my last crop of blond (probably this one, the little whites are creeping in), I’m gonna do another short short crop, myself.

She can pull it off. The shorter cuts really bring out her eye color.

i’ve had a pixie cut numerous times in my life and every single time i vow i’ll never grow my hair out again. then after a few years i get bored and grow it out! i bet she’ll eventually do the same thing. that being said, i think she looks great with short or long hair!

It seems to me this cut would be more maintenance than long hair in her natural color…which this clearly is NOT. You don’t need to have extensions to have long hair, unless you want it instantly. I have long hair and it’s definitely not high maintenance.

Not really! She looks like Willow Smith in picture number 3. Old fashioned; but, even short hair on a young woman can be too short!

Her eyelashes look different in every picture. Not a fan of short hair. Makes her look more like a boy; or, someone’s partner.

I actually like her with short hair. Not all of us can pull it off, (especially me), but it just looks good on her.

I’ve had my hair in various lengths – and depending on the length of shorter hair, it can sometimes be more work than very long hair. it must be long enough to put on top of my head or pull into a ponytail – that’s the bottom line.

Honestly, I think she looks gorgeous. I’ve never hated her hair – she look simultaneously sophisticated and edgy, and I love it.

I love her short hair! I think it looks very good on her. She has the perfect face and body for it. Long hair really weighed her down. And she isn’t saying that she won’t grow it out at all, she is just saying it won’t be super long again.

I actually think it looks good on her in the left and right pictures. She needs to layoff the black eyeliner and that much mascara and the orange self-tanning.

Unless you are young, most women cannot pull off long, lucious locks — so short, sassy & sexy hair is perfectly fine. Good for Miley! She seems more confident than ever, and not held back by anything or what people perceive her to be!

Okay, initially I didn’t like her short hair. To be honest, for years, Miley Cyrus was entirely annoying in my opinion. She just irked me. But now that she’s getting a little older (I’m 31 so I’m not saying 20 is so old trust me lol), I find her candor a little refreshing. And I’m liking her short hair. I get that people say it looks like she’s copying Pink’s hair cut, or Gwen Stefani’s style, but I honestly think she was so handled as a child star on Disney, being told what to wear, how to behave, what to say, what to do with her hair, that she really is just trying to make her own choices. And by extension, be her own woman. I do like it. I’m personally sick and tired of the real housewives of whatever city and all the big female celebs with their ridiculously long hair. Extensions or real hair, it’s so safe. I find it bolder when they actually have something shorter than waist length hair. I thought it was bold when Miley got her long bob style cut awhile back, and I think it’s much bolder that she went for a full out pixie cut. It’s not flattering on everyone, but she has a good shaped face and she has a really nice body she undoubtedly works very hard to keep so slim, and I think she pulls it off well now that I actually look at her and I’m not shocked to see her with such short hair. If I never knew of Miley Cyrus I would say “cool haircut” seeing a pic of her now. I don’t like that pouf style in the 3rd pic but that was for an event and I imagine the goal was to be theatrical and outrageous and that’s not regular day to day hair. Who cares. Hair is just hair and I think it’s unhealthy to fixate so much on it, especially when on People we have beautiful blogs from Diem Brown about her struggles with ovarian cancer for the second time and the trauma of losing her hair. Maybe if we didn’t make long locks so important, women undergoing cancer treatments wouldn’t feel quite so bad about losing theirs. Of course it would still be traumatic but I think part of the issue is we’re all taught that long hair is the epitome of femininity and beauty and anything short of that (no pun intended) isn’t beautiful and it’s masculine in fact. Ultimately hair is just hair and we should all be allowed to style ours however we want. Variety makes life more fun. And if she and her fiance like it then we all can have our opinions but Miley Cyrus sure doesn’t have to listen.

She looks adorable. I agree, she wears it with confidence. Being a person who had long hair in my younger years, my hair is short, but now as someone else put it….long short… and it’s kinda my trademark…I would never look the same with long hair. Plus…I am over 50,,,and for years and even now I get asked if I’m my son’s girlfriend….my shorter hair keeps me young.

I have really grown to like her short hair. I’ve worn clip-in extensions at times and I can understand why she’s glad they’re gone. They hurt and they damage your real hair.

I love her short hair. It comes with such confidence. I just love it. It’s like she grew up and decided what she really wants overnight. This haircut defines her.

If I could pull off a short hairstyle, I’d be there SO FAST! Because I have really curly hair, it would be hard to do and totally defeat my purpose, which would be to have something quick and easy to do in the mornings.

Hate it! You don’t hear many girls talking about shaving the side of their head like a boy!

I’ve grown very tired of the long “Hollywood hair” or “Mermaid hair”. Everyone one out in Hollywood has long extensions. It’s overdone and hopefully out of style.

I liked her with her hair long, but I LOVE her with her hair short! She has such a beautiful face to go along with it! It looks absolutely wonderful on her! I hope she keeps it like this! :-)
