Michelle Obama Wears Jason Wu Again at Inaugural Ball

Just like President Obama, Jason Wu is getting a second term!

Michelle Obama stunned in a custom ruby-red chiffon and velvet halter-neck gown by Jason Wu at the inaugural ball in Washington, D.C. on Monday night.

It was a surprising choice considering Wu also designed the flowing one-shoulder white dress the FLOTUS wore four years ago when her husband was sworn into office. It was the look that catapulted the young designer’s career.

Obama paired the jewel-tone number with Jimmy Choo shoes, a handmade diamond-embellished Kimberly McDonald ring, Kimberly McDonald for Forevermark diamond bangles and of course, her brand new bangs.

Wu beat out a number of other designers vying for the honor of dressing the fashionable First Lady on the big night including Derek Lam, Marchesa, Michael Kors, Prabal Gurung, Tory Burch, Tracy Reese, Narciso Rodriguez, Naeem Khan and Thakoon.

And it turns out Wu couldn’t believe he earned yet a second White House style seal of approval. Shortly after the First Lady stepped out in the gorgeous creation, he tweeted, “#inshock!!!”

Earlier in the day, Obama chose a navy Thom Browne coat, plus a jeweled belt, J.Crew gloves, Cathy Waterman earrings and Reed Krakoff boots for the ceremony at the Capitol.

The First Lady’s inauguration day wardrobe, including accessories, will be donated to the National Archives. Tell us: Do you like the First Lady’s red Jason Wu gown?

I don’t remember seeing this gown at The Gap or Banana Republic………Oh wait, the taxpayers paid for it with the higher taxes that were implemented. Either way, she still looks cheap

I wonder if she is still proud of the U.S.A.?

The gown is beautiful, but not so original or stunning that she couldn’t have gone with another selection from a lesser-known designer. Considering the influence she has, it would have been nice for her to have given a different designer the same exposure and opportunity, that she has already given Jason Wu after the first inauguration.

Nobody worried about the previous 8yr 1st lady’s clothes,or what they cost the tax payers,so don’t worry about it now..All of a sudden everyone’s so worried about what everything cost, bet they didn’t cost as much as the two wars we’re paying for.

If as much attention was paid to the way these people run our country as is to what these people wear, I’m sure there would be a new first lady to speak about.

I love the whole style. By the way the dress was very flattering. And that body is only for the President and not to be reveiling to you Mom of 3.

I saw on the news today that fashion designers consider her their biggest asset. Since becoming First Lady, they estimate her style has attributed upward to 3 billion dollars for the industry. Woo’s sales were 14 million after her last inaugural dress. He expects to double that figure with this red dress. And today alone, the gloves she wore, which cost a whopping $39 , have sold out already at most stores.
And to those complaining about your tax dollars being spent….wrong. Didn’t cost you a single penny but keep complaining…..that’s all you seem to know how to do. All her outfits this weekend were donated and will never been worn again. They end up in the future Obama library.

Now, if she could just find a good plastic surgeon to fix her baboon butt face….
