The 2-in-1 Dress/Skirt That Makes You Look Instantly Thinner

01/21/2013 at 06:00 AM ET

Raise your hand if you wish your closet and your bank account were slightly larger. If your hand’s in the air, you need to watch this video and check out the super-flattering convertible Sassybax piece that Joyus and editors have their eyes on …

We’ve tried convertible styles before, but this is the first one we’ve seen that actually feels like it’s meant to be worn both as a dress and a skirt. And since the design works as a mini skirt or a mid-calf pencil skirt (very Mad Men-inspired, as Jen says) and even as shapewear under a slinky dress, you’re really getting four pieces in one.

The combo of nylon and spandex helps to make your midsection and thighs look smoother and more toned without that sausage casing feel that comes with a lot of slimming first layers.

If you’re not sold already, the price is sure to win you over: Under 65 bucks for this closet MVP. (Get the exclusive price by entering PEOPLE15 at checkout.)

And before you complete your order, you’ll probably want to peep these other amazing fashion and beauty finds we’re loving from Joyus.

For once I would love to see a woman with actual body fat advertising these kinds of garments. Watching a skinny woman model it does nothing to convince me it’s a product I want.

It looks like someone is trying to convince women to just wear shapewear undergarments as a primary layer (see bottom “hem” area). it doesn’t look fancy, it looks like you forgot to put your skirt/dress on over your shapewear. seems odd that there aren’t any reviews anywhere online for this…
