Where Does Jennifer Lopez Keep that Famous Grammys Dress?

No one will ever forget the plunging Versace dress Jennifer Lopez wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards. But the star herself still hasn’t figured out exactly what to do with the memorable gown.

“I have that at home. The other day, my housekeeper put it on a mannequin in my spa, where I get my hair and makeup done,” Lopez says in the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “She sent me a pictures. She was like, ‘You like this dress?’ Um, yeah, but I don’t know if I like it out in the house!”

Fashion problems aside, Lopez also dishes on her fashion tastes, which she realizes have changed over time. The singer says she’s gone from a “boyish, hip-hoppy sensibility: big hoops, sneakers, tank tops, and my big curly hair” to adding a “sexy element” to channeling “movie stars, Jackie O. And now all of these things mixed together, that’s my style.”

But behind that well-dressed façade is a mother who realizes she keeps a crazy schedule — and works to keep her children as happy and grounded as possible when on the road.

“I make [travel] as simple and as beautiful as I can because my life is kind of big,” she shares. “So I pack my luggage, or dress myself, or comb my kids’ hair, pick up their clothes — that makes our life beautiful, you know? There’s something very elegant in that.” For more with Lopez, pick up the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar, on newsstands Jan. 8, or visit harpersbazaar.com/jenniferlopez.

I apologize to all of the JLo fans out there, but I laughed hysterically when I read JLo’s quote of “…I dress myself…”, “…that’s what makes life beautiful”. Isn’t that what makes life LIFE?!!!

That’s funny. . . that dress is displayed at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. So, is it a phony???

Dressing yourself and packing your own luggage is elegant? Umm…keep talking honey.

Seriously… taking care of your child’s everyday needs is making life simple and beautiful… does she realize mother’s everywhere do this because it’s part of being a mother… not to make travel simple… and if you really think after she says she has a spa in her house where she “gets” her makeup/hair done.. not does it herself.. that I’m going to believe she actually packs her own suitcase… Newsflash… most of us mere mortals actually dress ourselves everyday.. and we comb our children’s hair, pick and wash their clothes and anything else that needs to be done.. because that’s part to being a hands own parent devoted to raising their children themselves

I dress myself and comb my kids hair and pack my own luggage…

YOU DO ALL OF THAT!?? Wow J.Lo, you must be a special breed…. *facepalm*

If she doesn’t want people to think she is a self-bloated, arrogant, shallow, diva then she really should think about the comments she makes… the impression I take away from her comments is she is thinks she’s being so great because she comb’s her kids hair, puts on her clothes and picks up their clothes with her own two hands…. really gives a poor impression of her as a person, much less a mother!!!

“So I pack my luggage, or dress myself, or comb my kids’ hair, pick up their clothes — that makes our life beautiful.” Well, count me gorgeous if that makes life beautiful. :)

What she meant by saying “I dress myself” was that she styles her own her clothes and doesn’t have a stylist put together her outfits (I.e for events, awards shoes etc) people like her have no privacy whatsoever, work very hard as all do and yes people like Jennifer Lopez see more of the luxury perks. However, they have no private life whatsoever and have obligations out the ass.
