This is obviously an exaggerated attempt to shed her “Hannah Montana” image and say “Hey, look at me, I’m a grown up”. Same reason for an engagement at such a young age. What’s sad is my girls, now ages 13 and 16, just idolized her when there were yonger, during Hannah Montana times and I was okay with that because she was a positive role model. It’s a shame that she has now turned into something I want to protect my girls from. So sad, she didnt stay someone the young girls could continue to look up to.

Miley’s hairstyle is horrendous. Just when it was getting long she chops it even shorter! I do not think it suits her, nor the platinum hair color. I have a feeling her next cut will be a complete shaving of her head, a la britney style. How unfortunate, she must be going through an imagine crisis. Hopefully Liam will not get turned off by all of this.

It’s not a look I like at all. But she’s only just turned 20 years old – she’s young, rich, and having fun. There are far worse things she could be doing instead of experimenting with her hair and clothes (see: Lindsay Lohan).

I actually had fun at this concert and feel comfortable with who I am, Liam likes me for who I am becoming, and that’s all that matters.

I don’t think there is anything wrong with Miley except being programmed all her life by the media circus and wanting to be free. Most don’t know what those entertainers deal with on a daily basis. Imagine being groomed from day one to live the life that others have cut out for you and you are FORCED to live it. Not being able to be yourself, but who others have told you to be. That’s not living. That’s dying slowly. She just wants to be free from all the sick world of entertainment and the media has to offer, but she will never be because they will either build her up or tear her down. Never judge someone else’s walk if you’ve never tried on their shoes. No matter who you or what position you play in life, I believe that she would trade her life for yours in a heartbeat. And when you finally stand in her shoes, then maybe you will find yourself cutting your hair, too. I’m out…

As for Miley, I think she’s trying desperately to shed her good girl image that typecasts her in music so that she might be taken more seriously as a musician which she obviously desires to be in a big way. Unfortunately people seem to be thrilled with celebs gone wild and respond better to them that way than when they are acting well. The public rewards bad behavior these days. Duude okay so yeah the boots aren’t the best but shes only 20. I’m 23 and I can safely say I cut pretty much all my hair off at 19 and again at 21. (And it certainly wasn’t for attention or because of a breakdown, I just felt like a change) Not as short as Miley’s but I mean is this not the time in your life when you’re supposed to try new things? Did you not? My style has changed over the past few years and continues to change. People are so judgemental. I’ve seen 14 year olds go out in less clothing and more make-up than this.
How is she no longer a good role model? She has an amazing work ethic, been in the same relationship for years, has got her own home and still manages to do things that everyone her age does. Rescues animals, does charity work etc…I mean why is that not good for kids to look up to?
