Jenna Dewan-Tatum: I'm Not Taking Orders from the Sexiest Man Alive

Now that her husband Channing has been named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive, Jenna Dewan-Tatum is fulfilling his every wish.
“He tells me what to wear, and I wear it,” she told PEOPLE Wednesday at the GLOW by Kimberly Snyder launch event in West Hollywood.
Psych! “No, I’m in the weirdest place,” she said of her personal style. “I’ll be watching a movie, or watching a show, or opening a magazine, and I’ll see some picture, or see something that inspires me. I’m constantly showing pictures on my iPhone to my hair and makeup people of things that inspire me.”
Even when those “things” are pretty outlandish. “I recently saw pictures of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and I just loved the makeup that they did,” Dewan-Tatum said. “So I took a picture of that to reference.”
Her pal Kate Mara, however, has been in a very different place style-wise. “I think my fashion changes a lot with my mood, a lot with the role I’m playing,” she told PEOPLE during the GLOW event. “For the past seven months I was playing this character where I basically wore black jeans and hooded sweatshirts in Baltimore. So for seven months I was wearing dark clothing and sort of dressing like my character.”
It’s not the first time she’s done that method acting/dressing, either. “It happens a lot, depending on the project I’m working on,” she explained. Let’s hope she’s not cast as an astronaut or a space alien anytime soon … Tell us: Where do you find fashion and beauty inspiration?
