Why Is Taylor Swift Sad About Owning Hundreds of Dresses?

Having a closet packed with designer dresses sounds like any girl’s dream. But for Taylor Swift, it’s not necessarily something to be excited about.

“I’m in a predicament where I can’t wear a dress twice or else it’s pointed out in magazines,” she says in the December/January issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “So unfortunately I have to shop for dresses all the time.”

She does at least like them, though. “There’s just something so feminine about a dress,” she says. “Whether it’s a summertime dress that makes me feel carefree, an evening cocktail dress that makes me feel fancy or a vintage dress that makes me feel like a ’50s housewife — which I enjoy feeling like, for some reason — I just really like dresses.”

But there’s one in particular she’s always coveted. “I was 15 and going to prom for the first time, and I saw that picture of Gwyneth [Paltrow] in the pink [Ralph Lauren Oscar] gown,” she recalls. “I went all over the mall and showed it to all the store owners and said, ‘Do you have anything that looks like this?’ And no one did.”

For as much as she talks about fashion in magazines, though, Swift admits that she doesn’t talk clothes with friends, including fellow fashionistas Emma Stone and Selena Gomez. “We never talk about fashion, about career, about our ambitions or our projects,” she says. “We just talk about relationships, feelings, love and boys.” For more with Swift, visit harpersbazaar.com/taylorswift and pick up the December/January issue, on newsstands Nov. 27.

The Duchess of Cambridge can wear the same dress to major functions, but not Taylor Swift. I admire entertainers who can think for themselves and make wise and moral decisions. This little 23 year old child has much growing up to do.

Man, and here I am thinking I have real predicaments to deal with having a special needs baby that I am nurse to all day everyday plus having a healthy 2-year-old running around. But alas, there are bigger problems in the world.

Taylor Swift does need to get over herself as she is not the Queen as she seems to think……is she bragging or what as just another example of her superior attitude and how immature she truly is. Her true colors are really beginning to show so no wonder she can’t keep a boyfriend…..Kim Kardashian and her have alot in common…both think they are entitled so will be thrilled when all the young teenagers get their fill of her and move on to someone else as she is as BORING AS WATCHING PAINT DRY with all her silly songs that she can’t sing……not a hater just do not like her because she is so arrogant.

Taylor Swift is sickening with her ever so superior attitude….who cares if she has a million dresses as this is just another example of how arrogant and immature she truly is…..she needs to get with that other arrogant Kim Kardashian who also thinks she is somekind of Queen who is entitled. Taylor Swift is as boring as watching paint dry so will be so glad when all the young teenagers get their fill of her silly boring songs that she can’t sing…….

How silly. She is in such an influential position and could set the example for not being so wasteful. Who cares if people comment on wearing a dress more than once or for that matter a dozen times like us regular folk?

POOR BABY!!!!

The fact that she refuses to rewear a dress b/c of what the press might say shows that she lacks confidence and has low self-esteem. She shouldn’t care what people think. Everytime she opens her mouth she sounds more and more like a bimbo to me.

Gee! Poor Girl!! Can’t wear the same dress twice! Give me a break!

Why can’t she wear the same dress twice? FLOTUS and Dutchess Kate do all the time and earn praise. There is nothing like a favorite “go to” outfit. Oh well… I would love to have some of her clothes.

I try to only post positive things on these… but I really can’t hold back. Come ON Taylor… there is more to life than being seen in the same dress twice. Seriously, I wear the same outfit (or a combination of it) to work at least twice a month… and that is being generous. I realize I’m not famous but I guarnatee I see more of the same people on a daily basis than you do and no one feels the need to point out to me that I’m wearing the same shirt… Golly. And really, how about instead of whining about how many clothes you have, you embrace the gifts you’ve been given and do something productive with them like donating or even auctioning them off. If you “can’t” wear them, then give them to someone who can or something equally as worthy. I really don’t enjoy your music but there is a lot of music out there that I don’t prefer. But your attitude of being this poor little girl who had made it to the top but is still SO insecure is getting old. Time to act your age, hun.
