Why Is Taylor Swift Sad About Owning Hundreds of Dresses?

Having a closet packed with designer dresses sounds like any girl’s dream. But for Taylor Swift, it’s not necessarily something to be excited about.

“I’m in a predicament where I can’t wear a dress twice or else it’s pointed out in magazines,” she says in the December/January issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “So unfortunately I have to shop for dresses all the time.”

She does at least like them, though. “There’s just something so feminine about a dress,” she says. “Whether it’s a summertime dress that makes me feel carefree, an evening cocktail dress that makes me feel fancy or a vintage dress that makes me feel like a ’50s housewife — which I enjoy feeling like, for some reason — I just really like dresses.”

But there’s one in particular she’s always coveted. “I was 15 and going to prom for the first time, and I saw that picture of Gwyneth [Paltrow] in the pink [Ralph Lauren Oscar] gown,” she recalls. “I went all over the mall and showed it to all the store owners and said, ‘Do you have anything that looks like this?’ And no one did.”

For as much as she talks about fashion in magazines, though, Swift admits that she doesn’t talk clothes with friends, including fellow fashionistas Emma Stone and Selena Gomez. “We never talk about fashion, about career, about our ambitions or our projects,” she says. “We just talk about relationships, feelings, love and boys.” For more with Swift, visit harpersbazaar.com/taylorswift and pick up the December/January issue, on newsstands Nov. 27.

Really? She can’t be seen in the same dress twice??? Oh give me a break! Princess Catherine is seen wearing the same outfit all the time- she is amazing at reusing outfits and just chaning the look slightly by adding different accessories. I think Taylor is a stuck up little girl who needs to learn to act her age and quite expecting the world to revolve around her.

Taylor do not feel bad for owning so many dresses, you need them for your work….Enjoy the gift of writing and singing….it’s from God.

She can’t re-wear a dress just walking around in the street being photographed by paparazzi but the First Lady can re-wear a dress to her husband’s second acceptance speech–one she’s been previously photographed in twice? Yeah, poor, poor Hollywood actresses and singers have the horror of a magazine POSSIBLY pointing out that they’re not entirely made of money.

Oh boo hoo, how does she manage with her life? I feel SO sorry for her, having to shop all the time.

Gosh, the problems and life dilemmas these people have. I don’t know how they deal with it!

Here’s a thought: Who cares what anybody thinks? Wear the same outfit 3 days in a row if you feel like it!!! Whatever! Be your own d*mn person!

Such a problem!

Boo Hoo Taylor Swift. If The Duchess of Cambridge -aka- Kate Middleton can recycle her dresses with no apologies, then so can you.

Taylor’s a cute gal. Hope she doesn’t lose sight of the big picture and let fame spoil her. Stay down to earth, Taylor!

Just another example of her immaturity. In today’s economy where so many are suffering, this is what she complains about. This young woman of 22 is so immature for her age.

I like Taylor, but if you are comfortable in your skin, you should not even worry about wearing a dress twice, and give 2 hoots if they take a picture of you in the same dress. It sounds ridiculous..
