Four more years with President Barack Obama in the White House means … four more years of amazing fashions from Michelle.

The First Lady exercised her right to look stylish after the polls closed Tuesday night, wearing a pintucked magenta silk chine Michael Kors dress (she’s a fan of the designer), House of Lavande Vintage brooch and black shrug for her husband’s acceptance speech in Chicago. And in true Michelle fashion, she chose a dress she’d worn — twice — before.

“She said that she was so busy with the campaign and their kids that she had no time to think about an outfit and decided at the last minute,” an Obama source tells PEOPLE.

Michelle first wore the dress to a White House holiday part in 2009, wearing it again for a military event in November of 2010, according to the Huffington Post.

“Mrs. Obama looked chic and elegant as always on election night,” Kors says in a statement. “My dress, with its strong color, clean lines and feminine silhouette, has all the elements that have become a part of the trademark style of our First Lady.”

Four years ago, the then-new FLOTUS made her first major style statement in a black-and-red Narciso Rodriguez sheath (daughters Sasha and Malia were color-coordinated with mom). It’s been fun to follow her fashions since then — everything from H&M frocks and Tracy Reese stunners to Naeem Khan gowns and Isaac Mizrahi creations. And we especially can’t wait to see what she wears to the inaugural ball in January — it’ll take a lot to top that Jason Wu dress. Tell us: What did you think of Michelle’s election day dress?

personally do not care who wore what dress when. do like she isn’t a wear it once kind of lady. that is both cost effective, and show a lot of class. “guest” regarding your remark. get worked up over things that matter, then get well informed before posting and secondly, God does help America and all peoples on this planet.

Amazing fashions???? Come on People magazine… she does not know how to dress. and of course Michael Kors is her favorite designer…we taxpayers are paying the tab.

What I like about this First Lady is she recycles her clothes. Please remember she also has her own money and her husband’s. Wonnder if you people know that they pay for their food, every month they get a bill for all the food they consume and for any dinners outside of the official ones..

She never had a wardrobe like now read some where around
650,00 dollars taxpayers dough………….

that dress is better than most but she is not this FASHION ICON here…not a trend setter either….she has such a weird facial expression i can’t look at her much to notice the outfits.

It’s about time she wore something with sleeves. As a taxpayer I get sick of viewing her sweaty armpits!
