Mom of 19 Michelle Duggar Gets a Brand New ‘Do

I think that she is beautiful and the new look makes her look about 30. How many other women could like that great after having that many children??

The new style looked GREAT on her and made her look like one of her daughters. Too bad she didn’t feel comfortable with it.

The 80′s style didn’t look good then, and it it is not looking good now. As a mom, you need to change and look good. Time for an upgrade! Yikes to those fluffy bangs!

I think as a strong mom shes always beautiful, I do have to say I think she looks years younger with the new ‘do. But if she feels better with her previous haircut then she should rock it.

Let’s not make her over like they did Kate Gosselin! Leave her alone. Her look is her and she looks cute.

When you have had the same hairstyle most of your life,, change is not always welcome. Even though she looks better with the new style, she won’t keep it that way.

I get a little nervous, giving her a new look, we could be at 20 kids and counting very shortly!

I really like the straight blow out a lot better than the curls….but she doesn’t appear to be a “spend a lot of time on me” kinda gal, so she will stick with the easier curly hair. The straight hair makes her look younger though and she is very pretty already, the new “do” just adds to it.

She looks great but it’s too modern for her lifestyle. They all perm their hair for that look so that’s obviously their preference. As long as they’re happy……

Definitely a much better look and she should take the positive comments from everyone and stick with this new style.

I like the look very much and I do agree she looks much younger! I think she’s not comfortable with it because she doesn’t like drawing that kind of attention to herself. Bless her tho, I think she’s great either way!

The hair makeover was definitely overdo. She looked so much older and matronly with the old hairstyle. She looks modern and sleek and at least 7yrs younger with the new one. It’s a shame that she’s too set in her ways to keep it up.

It does look great…but the reason she probably went back was because blowing out your hair takes such a long time. She has 19 kids, doubt she has time to do that every day.

She looks so much younger and it emphasized her pretty features. Unfortunately, she takes her hairstyle cues from Jim Bob and what he wants her hair to look like, rather then what she wants. This was documented on their show. I’m not making it up to be controversial. That is why her hair was back to the dated, unflattering do at the end of the show.

She looked great with this makeover! It made her look 10 years younger! I read on msn that her husband didn’t like the look, so she went right back to it. She should have kept the look! Forget what your husband thinks, you looked great!

That’s unfortunate because it was quite an improvement.

Considering in an episode, the girls said their dad likes his women with long crunchy permed hair, is it any surprise that she went back to her bad hair from before? The women all wear skirts, long hair and do nothing but give birth to tens of children. My guess would be that in the Duggar house, because Jim Bob is the man, the women do what he wants and they have no other option.

I thought this new style looked great on her too and did make her look much younger. Maybe I will try it.

It looks great; however, she probably doesn’t have the time to blow out her hair every morning. Hopefully she will keep the new clothes. They looked nice also.

Having curly hair myself and the time it takes to straighten it keeping the old style is easier. Having curly hair does not leave you living in the 80s either. I would love to be able to straighten out my hair everyday but id rather have the extra hour and a half od sleep. Its so easy for the girls with straight hair comment on all she needs to do is blow it out haha!

She is so far out of touch with her overbearing husband,19 kids & her religion she will never change. I think she looks very nice . But Billy Bob, Jim Bo( whatever his name is) didn’t like it you can bet your sweet butt she won’t keep it. All he wants is her barefoot & pregant. I’m surprised she isn’t again. She’s crazy if she gets pregant again. Might not be so lucky this time with her life or the baby’s life.

I read somewhere else that her husband didn’t like it. I can almost guarantee that is why she went back to the way it was. He is super controlling and she’s been with him since she was a teenager. I don’t know that she even is aware of how to use her own voice where he is concerned. It’s sad.

I have seen a few other pictures on different sites and she looks great! I admire their solid family values and living debt free.

She does look nice but this woman is no mother. I have watched a couple of episodes of her show and it always appears as if the older children are taking care of the younger children. The older children are the ones who nurture the young ones. What a sad life for these children their parents have cashed in on their existence.

Well, she does look good with the new do. But I say if she’s more comfortable and happy with her old look, than she shouldn’t be told, “But you LOOK soooo much better with the new hairstyle.”

I thought it was interesting how their daughters wanted to give their Dad a makeover but did not like their Mom’s makeover. I thought she looked GREAT and not so out of date. In the beginning all the girls pretty much had the same hairstyle too. UGH!

The new style didn’t look stiff like the old one always does.It would be so much easier to take care of too and she could put it up with a clip around the house.I was dissappointed that she didn’t see the beauty of it over the old style.

If she looks any better, her husband will be chasing her all over the place to make more babies!

I believe that the religious sect they subscribe to, under the headship of Bill Gothard, actually *requires* curly hair. I’m rather surprised that this brief makeover was allowed by either Mr. Gothard or Jim Bob Duggar.

Her hair definitely looked younger, but I think it actually might have aged her face (not sure from the picture); I think she already looks quite young compared to her true age. I like the straight hair, though. It would be a nice change of pace.

She’s not “permitted.” The Duggars belong to a sect of fundamentalists called the Quiverfull movement. It is highly patriarchal and very much keeps women in what they deem a “biblical” role – i.e. pregnant and at the man’s beck and call.

She should keep the new look. 80′s big hair has been out of style for a long long time.

So, the new hairdo makes her look like a 30 year-old modern woman and she opts to immediately go back to looking like a hillbilly. Why am I not surprised!

Let’s all of us women wear skirts according to the Duggars and forget that the biblical passage they devote to this is when men wore robes and I never saw a Duggar man wear a robe. Just saying.

I think the new style looks great. It does make her look alot younger. She should definitely think about keeping it.

I like the new look, but I think they should have used her curly hair to give her a style that is more achievable for her at home. She is not going to have time to straighten her hair every day – seriously, she is the mom of a small town!

I really did not like the new look, and it does look like she had a face lift, her face looked to tight and pulled. I feel once you start having grandchildren its time to stop having any more of your own children. there is a time for all that and her time has passed.

If you have not changed your hair in 40 years you wouldn’t know it takes a few days to adjust to a new hair style. To bad, she looks a million times better with the new style and it takes 20 years off of her.No matter how conservative you are…..what women wouldn’t want that. LOL.
