All About Jessica Biel’s ‘Whimsical, Dramatic’ Pink Wedding Gown

When it came to selecting the perfect gown for her Oct. 19 wedding to Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel was a bit overwhelmed.

“It’s so hard to choose the dress,” she tells PEOPLE, which features exclusive photos and details from the couple’s special day in this week’s issue.

To help her along, the bride turned to longtime friend and designer, Giambattista Valli. “I was really comfortable talking to him about something really important like this,” says the actress, 30.

Ultimately, Valli created a custom petal-pink strapless gown of silk mousseline and silk organza with a light-pink floral motif that “was whimsical and dramatic,” says Biel. Her wedding look also included a heartfelt detail: Her floor-length veil was adorned with pearls from her grandmother’s wedding day tiara.

Valli also outfitted Biel’s four bridesmaids along with her mom, Kim, and Timberlake’s mother, Lynn Harless, for the big day.

As the reception rolled on into the wee hours, Biel changed into a silk shantung and macrame lace strapless dress from Valli’s spring collection.

@ME on page 4. Well I think it’s disrespectful because Brtiney’s his ex and her picture is the ONLY one on the cover with their wedding picture. Just seems very odd to me, there are lots of newsworthy topics besides her trial. PEOPLE posted her picture with an agenda and it didn’t have anything to do with informing us about her trial status.

Funny how People magazine refuses to cover the story about the video of homeless people that was shown at their wedding as a gag. I guess when you pay celebrities 300k for their photos, you stop actually reporting lifestyle news and instead just “sell out.” People used to be respected, but it’s becoming no better than Us or In Style.

Congratulations to the beautiful couple. Her dress is truly elegant and beautiful. I love that she was creative and thought of a pink wedding gown as opposed to a normal white gown. She stands out from the crowd. All the best to them. :)

I hate to say this but I think if you cut Britney’s head out and glued it over Jessica’s it would make for a much better couple! I think Brit & JT made a much better looking couple. Sorry!!

Her dress is gorgeous!! I absolutely love it. This is her vision and represents her on their special day. Best wishes to them both (and those who have to be so negative lol..it’s ridiculous.)
