All About Jessica Biel’s ‘Whimsical, Dramatic’ Pink Wedding Gown

When it came to selecting the perfect gown for her Oct. 19 wedding to Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel was a bit overwhelmed.

“It’s so hard to choose the dress,” she tells PEOPLE, which features exclusive photos and details from the couple’s special day in this week’s issue.

To help her along, the bride turned to longtime friend and designer, Giambattista Valli. “I was really comfortable talking to him about something really important like this,” says the actress, 30.

Ultimately, Valli created a custom petal-pink strapless gown of silk mousseline and silk organza with a light-pink floral motif that “was whimsical and dramatic,” says Biel. Her wedding look also included a heartfelt detail: Her floor-length veil was adorned with pearls from her grandmother’s wedding day tiara.

Valli also outfitted Biel’s four bridesmaids along with her mom, Kim, and Timberlake’s mother, Lynn Harless, for the big day.

As the reception rolled on into the wee hours, Biel changed into a silk shantung and macrame lace strapless dress from Valli’s spring collection.

Oh god, we are going to be hearing about this forever. We get it, they got married.

I personally don’t like the dress at all, but I’m very traditional. If this was me I’d always look back at my pictures and regret a pink dress. Other than that she looks absolutely perfect! Nothing against Britney, but it’s unfortunate she made an appearance on their People cover. That would drive me crazy too….

Beautiful dress and she looks glowing! Great job.

You do realize you clicked and posted on the “stylewatch” section of People. What else do you want in here? Lindsey Lohan’s new club outfit?

Ugh look Britney in the corner. TEAR.

She looks stunning! The dress is beautiful, but I’m not sure I love the idea of a pink wedding gown…but I’m more traditional, to each their own! I think it’s incredibly disrespectful to put Britney on the cover with them. Esp since they gave people the exclusive.

It is really gorgeous, but it shouldn’t make any difference what anyone else thinks. It was her wedding not ours. I wish them many, many years of happiness. Congratulations.

I like pink and it’s a good coloue on her, but this is too pink and the dress itself is too stiff with too many tiers for my liking.

Her husband seems like a self-centered jerk. It’s well known that he cheated on her and dumped her several times, and associates with with a crew of macho d-bags. The video his good friend made as a wedding present mocking homeless people confirms the worst stories I’ve heard about him. His friend knows him well and thought this was an appropriate gift for the couple. You can tell a lot about. a person by the company they keep. She must have been desperate and his d-baggery must be rubbing off on her.
