Why Justin Theroux Is Sampling Jennifer Aniston’s Shampoo

Now that Jennifer Aniston is the face and co-owner of Living Proof hair products, she has everyone using them — even her fiancé, Justin Theroux.

“He kind of has no choice,” she jokes to PEOPLE. “It’s what’s in the shower right now. You know he’s a guy, he just goes for what’s in the shower. But yes, he’s used it.”

And if he’s anything like his betrothed, he’s loving the company’s shampoos and conditioners — and their philosophy. “They’re still eager and they’re growing, and that’s what’s sort of fun,” she shares of the Massachusetts-based brand. “They’re still trying to crack the nut.”

That’s in part why Aniston decided to join the team. “I’ve been known for hair for so long and … it just never felt right,” she says of previous endorsement offers. “It has to ring true to me, and feel good. That’s the thing that’s exciting to me [with ownership], to be able to have creative participation and get behind the product in a way that is actually knowing what’s happening as opposed to selling what’s happening.”

Aniston says she’s loyal to products that work, and isn’t easily influenced by the next big beauty thing. “Whether it’s an Aveeno face cream (fun fact: she uses hers as eye cream, too!) that I’ve been using for 15 years or a Neutrogena cleansing bar, there are things that if you use them and feel confident … you’re telling the truth to consumers.”

But her best beauty tip comes without a price tag: “Sleep,” she says, laughing. “Honestly. Hydration — drink a lot of water — and get your sleep.” For more with Aniston, pick up the latest issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.

Thanks all for the correction on the dated photo…..but these rags DO tend to show her oldest photos, repeatedly over and over again. I’ll try the hair product myself, but don’t need (her) endorsement. I don’t think her hair is to be envious, it’s too long for and covers her face, and is stringy. To each his own, though. Good for her in her new life.

Before I bring a line into the salon I buy the complete line and have myself and another staff member try out the products, I don’t know why but this was the worst product , I wanted to bring in something new for the salon. With MIT behind it I wanted to know let’s see if it’s good or hype,? HYPE was the result,
I went to return it back and my distributor had stop carrying it and it was on clearance. Luckily I had my receipt because they wanted to give me sales price. So I guess I was not the only one not liking ” LIVING PROOF”.

i think jennifer aniston is a great health & beauty product endorser. she always looks effortlessly natural, healthy and delightful. her style is elegantly casual. she has unarguably an unconventional beauty, which to me, makes her more interesting. i would definitely buy the products!

We should not define people by their looks, especially celebs who look as great as Jennifer! Through involvement in many causes & charities, interesting men and women, and how she feels about herself, she’s had loads of soul growth. No, she’s not, in my humble opinion Academy worthy, (yet!) but I love her zest for life and how well she moves on from tragic or heartbreaking events — yes, she moves on despite others wanting to bind her to the past. Also, she was born with fine hair, realizes it, and makes the most of a great cut. Give miss thang her creds people, she’s one of us, a sista doing HER life well! .

I like you. You can be my Hollywood guardian from the non-athletes.

I am an professional athlete your age (volleyball). I don’t do anything Hollywood (I don’t watch movies and I don’t watch TV unless they are sports). I have been told we look kind of the same. I am taller (5’9″), thinner (117 pounds) and muscular which puts me at 12% body fat (muscle weighs more than fat). My son is playing in the state tournament in hockey again this weekend. We won 9-0 tonight. He’s still young (he’s in 7th grade) so there isn’t a National tournament until next year.

All professional athletes have some sort of drug test. It varies by sport. Volleyball’s drug test is harder than hockey. It’s like the NFL’s drug test because I am short for volleyball and most volleyball players are NFL size. There aren’t any drug problems. There isn’t any rehab. It’s a commitment to my drug policy. This particular hockey player’s hair loss is due to a medical issue that requires medication. The medication causes hair loss. He has to take it.
