Jennifer Aniston‘s hair has changed lives — how could we ever forget “The Rachel”? — and now, the actress hopes to have an even bigger influence on the hair care industry, inking a deal as a spokesmodel and investor of Massachusetts-based product line Living Proof.

“Over the years, my hair has been subjected to everything … blow dryers, flat irons, curling irons, color, extensions, you name it. My hair has taken a serious beating,” Aniston says in a release. “After using these products, I felt like I finally discovered a solution that works every day. I could not be more excited to share Living Proof with the world.”

What sets Living Proof apart from other hair care brands is science: the line was founded in part by Dr. Robert Langer, a professor at MIT, and it uses real scientists to solve tough beauty problems (don’t worry, they’re still working to solve real scientific problems in their labs, too).

As part of the deal, Aniston will assist in development and marketing, and will collaborate with the brand’s stylists and scientists on new product ideas. According to the Wall Street Journal, the star was first sold on the 7-year-old line while filming in North Carolina and successfully using the frizz-fighting cream in the 100-percent humidity.

Living Proof hair care products are available at Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, QVC and on LivingProof.com; Aniston’s campaign is expected to shoot in November and will go national shortly thereafter. Tell us: Is Aniston a good choice for a hair care brand? Will you check out the line because of her?

She uses the product but who style her hair to make it look beautiful.

I think she has beautiful hair, but I’ve tried some of the LP products, and I wasn’t blown away. The mousse is okay and the root lifting spray was okay, but for cleansing? I’m sticking with my WEN–my hair has never looked better.

In today’s economy, I don’t care who endorses a product so long as it’s affordable.

I LOVE Jen! She is just so normal. She has great hair. I LOVE her perfume too; wear it all the time.

Ann on

In the picture her hair looks flat and greasy. No thanks.

I just checked out the website and an 8 oz. bottle of conditioner (one cup) is $28. No thanks.

I wouldn’t buy her or any star’s hair or skin products. They all use hair extensions and go to spas. That is pretty much what you can do now yourself. This hair product line of hers is just a way to make money. I guess to pay for Justin and her high maintenance lifestyle, and big ring.

Not a co-owner, an investor. You’re reporting a it a bit wrong. Used to work for them and I can report that they themselves do not do any animal testing, however some of the ingredients they use from other suppliers may not be cruelty free. Thus they cannot officially report they are cruelty free.
