When Kim Kardashian debuted her 20.5-carat engagement ring last year, no one blinked an eye. Jennifer Lopez‘s reported 8-carat ring from Marc Anthony? No biggie. Beyoncé‘s 18-carat bauble? No judgment!

But for some reason, Jennifer Aniston‘s extra-large diamond — which she debuted on Saturday while visiting with fiancé Justin Theroux in New Mexico — is causing quite a stir, thanks to its eye-catching size and unique shape.

Perhaps it’s because the actress is known for her minimalist aesthetic that many people expected a simpler sparkler, but hey, in Hollywood, it’s big star, big diamond, right?

That picture is a little misleading. It makes it look bigger than it is. The ring is actually a spiral with many smaller diamonds along the spiral with one medium sized diamond in the middle. much ado about nothing

She seems to be happy and that is what matters. I personally don’t think it is a good picture of ring and I will wait to see a better one.

Her ring is huge…. g1i1ch not sure what you think is normal but this ring is huge!!! Normal folks don’t get rings this big however these people aren’t average people so if they can afford huge and like it then more power to them… it’s the happiness that counts and they both look very happy.
