More Details on Anne Hathaway’s Valentino Wedding Gown — and That Headpiece

We’re well aware of your feelings on her bridal headpiece, but Anne Hathaway‘s wedding gown was quite a dream. And, surprise — it was partially pink!

The custom Valentino creation — worn for the star’s nuptials to Adam Shulman in Big Sur, Calif., last Saturday — was imagined by the designer himself, and made by seamstresses in the brand’s couture atelier in Rome.

According to a rep for Valentino, the design team created a strapless ivory silk point d’esprit tulle dress, which includes a pink hand-painted shaded train embroidered with satin flowers. The 1920s-inspired veil consists of a lace ribbon with a large flower, adorned with small crystal beads.

“The wedding was lovely and Anne looked gorgeous,” a source tells PEOPLE, adding that the bride skipped jewelry and let the gown and veil take center stage. “She looked very pretty.” Tell us: Now that you know more about the gown, do you love it?

Anne Hathaway is very beautiful and I loved her dress and headpiece. So vintage looking.

When you choose acting as a job, then you owe the fans that support you. She doesn’t need to release her personal wedding pictures, but alteast release pictures of the dress from the designer.

The entire look is absolute perfection! I think the head piece is a perfect choice for her shorter hair style.

The dress is gorgeous and so is she! I would totally wear that dress for my own wedding someday. If I could only afford it…

I think her dress and veil are spectacular–very regal. Not decided on the headpiece yet, though. I’d really like to see some clearer photos at some point. The one shown just looks unfocused and on a dirty, dried-up lawn.

I think she looked lovely…the sketches usually look better than the real thing but that dress and headpiece are sooo her

Larry, you’re quite a miserable POS aren’t you?

It’s a really beautiful fairytale dress – I absolutely love it and she is gorgeous in it. I’m not much on the way the headpiece is done – I do like the way it flows down her back – don’t like the “head” portion of it as much.

That being said – it’s HER wedding and if she liked it and chose it for her big day, my opinion is not very important in the scheme of things. She looked absolutely radiant and beautiful.

Forget the dress, where are they? On a dirt road getting married? O…?…k? … … …

Beautiful dress; hate the headpiece…it was too distracting.
