We’re well aware of your feelings on her bridal headpiece, but Anne Hathaway‘s wedding gown was quite a dream. And, surprise — it was partially pink!

The custom Valentino creation — worn for the star’s nuptials to Adam Shulman in Big Sur, Calif., last Saturday — was imagined by the designer himself, and made by seamstresses in the brand’s couture atelier in Rome.

According to a rep for Valentino, the design team created a strapless ivory silk point d’esprit tulle dress, which includes a pink hand-painted shaded train embroidered with satin flowers. The 1920s-inspired veil consists of a lace ribbon with a large flower, adorned with small crystal beads.

“The wedding was lovely and Anne looked gorgeous,” a source tells PEOPLE, adding that the bride skipped jewelry and let the gown and veil take center stage. “She looked very pretty.” Tell us: Now that you know more about the gown, do you love it?

Most stunning wedding gown – ultra unique, exceptional lines, and I love the head piece! It’s perfect for the elegant skirt and I’m ok with the pink – something that is not my first choice for a wedding gown but from the distant pics it looks soft enough not to be too “out there”. Haven’t seen such a beautiful gown for ages – kudos to Valentino.

I thought she was beautiful! That gown was magical. Only she could pull off that head piece and look gorgeous.

Did people not like the headpeice? I think it’s gorgeous. It’s perfect with her short hair. I’d love to see a better picture of the entire dress, I’m sure she looked absolutely lovely.

Oh look a picture taken from 5 miles away. Yes, I’m sure she wanted this photo published in magazines. When are you going to let these people have privacy??

Her dress did not go well with her wedding venue. Wonder how dirty it got with her walking on dirt.

I am not sure how critics can really comment on the headpiece with the one grainy aerial shot of her and Adam. Brides with long hair have the hair to add to their overall look but since she has short hair, the headpiece adds a unique beauty. The dress is stunning. Her day was done the way she wanted and that is what matters…not what others think.

Maybe it’s just a bad picture of the head piece from a bad angle. The dress is gorgeous.

Beautiful! And thankfully not another cookie cutter strapless dress.

I thought her dress and headpiece were gorgeous. I wish there had been a close-up photo of the headpiece. I like the fact that they were both different from the usual strapless dresses and headband or tiara headpieces. They’ve all been done to death. But the bottom line is the bride’s satisfaction with her outfit, not ours.
