Hearing about Michelle Obama‘s J.Crew and H&M purchases always gets us excited, but it’s fun to see how she can remix her enviable designer wardrobe, too. And the First Lady did just that this week, re-wearing a Michael Kors gown to a government function.
Obama first wore her black georgette pleated one-shoulder dress for a White House ceremony in Washington, D.C., on June 13 (left), finishing it with a delicate gold belt and drop earrings.
Fast-forward three months to this past Saturday (right), when the First Lady wore the gown again — this time with a sparkly belt and chandelier earrings — for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation 42nd Annual Legislative Conference.
It was a simple way to update a beautiful (but basic) dress, making it just different enough for round two. We think the Duchess of Cambridge would definitely be proud. Tell us: Which way do you prefer the Michael Kors gown?
