Nicole Richie Carries Eight Pairs of Sunglasses in Her Bag

09/20/2012 at 12:00 PM ET

Is Nicole Richie a Hoarders episode waiting to happen?

Not exactly, but the designer certainly stores a ton of stuff in her purse. Richie recently emptied out the extensive contents of her bag for Harper’s Bazaar’s The Look including eight — yes, eight — pairs of sunglasses (mostly by her line House of Harlow).

And she even has a totally separate bag (within a bag) for her stash of sunnies. “This is a smart [tip]. You take the Eres bikini bags, the bags the bikinis come in,” she explains. “And this is what I carry my sunglasses in.”

Richie also totes two hairbrushes, tons of bobby pins (“a must,” she says), various vitamins, headphones and a Goyard wallet. Oh, and a full-size bottle of her new namesake perfume.

But you can’t blame the girl for carrying around so many things. “It’s nothing on purpose, it’s just that I rarely switch bags,” Richie explains. “Or if I do I’ll just put a bag in another bag and over time it just builds up.”

For more of Richie’s hilarious interview, check out the entire episode of The Look above. Tell us: What’s in your bag?
