When single dad Tony Pieper got down on one knee during Monday night’s Bachelor Pad 3 finale and proposed to fellow contestant Blakeley Jones, it was a show-stopping happy ending for the once unlikely pair.

In front of a giddy live audience, Jones, a 34-year-old esthetician whose heart was broken earlier in the season by Pad finalist Chris Bukowski, was all smiles when Pieper surprised her with a 2.5-carat Neil Lane diamond ring.

“Blakeley was totally shocked and so happy,” Lane tells PEOPLE exclusively. “All Tony wanted to do was please her and give her the ring of her dreams.”

The handmade cushion-cut sparkler, surrounded by 98 smaller brilliant-cut diamonds and set in platinum, reflects Pieper’s heartfelt description of his fiancé.

“Tony spent a lot of time figuring out what she’d like — something elegant, cool, sexy and with both a fashion-forward feel and with a bit of a past, a vintage vibe,” says Lane, who handcrafted the ring in less than three weeks time. “He knew she wanted a cushion-cut diamond and had always dreamed of a ring with a halo of diamonds around the center stone, so we created that for her and she loved it.”

As for Pieper, 30, he told Lane he fell hard — and fast.

“Tony was clearly smitten and said he knew the first time he met Blakeley he was in love with her,” says the celebrity jeweler. “He could just tell she was the girl of his dreams.” Tell us: Do you love Jones’s engagement ring?

“Tony was clearly smitten and said he knew the first time he met Blakeley he was in love with her,”
Oh really? Was this before or after he slept with one of the dingy twins also on this season!?

First proposal live on TV to include the words: “Are you *^*#@(& kidding me?”

Very sweet anyway. Way to go. Ten points for romance. Good for them. Best wishes.

As for Nick, won’t his next appearance be on Biggest Loser?

Beautiful ring! Congrats Blakely and Tony. They seem to really complement each other and bring out the best in each other. I wish them much happiness.

Like the ring….hate the girl. Blakely prepare to ship that ring back to Neil Lane, ’cause this ain’t gonna last.

synic , Great Post. While I’m happy for Blakely and Tony, and it will be fun to have them living in Portland, I came away from that finale wanting to throw up. That was the worst move I’ve ever seen a contestant pull on any reality show.
Nick, you deserve all the grief that people and life will give you.

Her last name is Shea. I’m pretty sure it is at least

He was so desperate to marry anyone. He was looking for a mom for his kid, too bad he got a stripper instead lol.

OMG, he’s so “domesticated”! Any guy that sticks around with a woman after being described by her as “domesticated” is weak.

Did she meet his child? What’s the big hurry? When a child in involved things are diff and people should move slowly. What if they don’t hit it off? Have they met families?

It was definitely something special! I always knew there was a softer side to Blakeley and this was something she deserved. What she ended up with was someone who loves her for who she is and loves the person that she is. THAT is love and we wish them nothing other than many happy years together! They are a sweet couple and deserve to be happy.

Are we sure this was a surprise? Watching it all over again, it looked like she knew it was coming.

Wow this is really a beautiful ring. I am just thrilled for Blakey and Tony – wishing them years of joy and happiness together.
they seem just right for each other -what a delight to see and witness- YEAH!

Hey Editors at People Magazine,
If a person’s name ends in the letter “s” and you are trying to show grammatical possession, then the proper way to use an apostrophe would be: Jones’ ring.

Not Jones’s ring.

Duh.

Doesn’t matter how shiny the ring….this marriage is a disaster in the making. Did he ever she her get mad on the show, talk about a royal B _ tch, scary inside and out…run Tony run.

I hope it works out for them, but I am a little worried for his son. Has he met or spent time with Blakeley? It would be nice to know that he has a good relationship with his future step-mom. I think the rush was that Tony figured if he proposed on the show he would get a free Neil Lane ring for her.

Of course she said yes the ring was sparkly and he’s so paasive he’d do anything she says

Tess– her last name is Jones, middle name is Shea

I think it’s gaudy but after Chris treated her so badly, she deserves happiness. I wish them the best.

What a dumbass. I hope he got the ring for free. Otherwise he completely overpaid for the Neil Lane Ring. A 2.5 carat ring with 98 stones on the halo
And band means it is a boring 1 carat with 1.5 carats of tiny diamonds. Yawn.

So happy for Blakely and Tony! They are so cute togehter. Welcome to Oregon Blakely. I grew up in Beaverton, Tony’s hometown and I know she will do great hear. I hope she loves it as much as I do! Hope to see you around some day!

mj on

The proposal was so lovely to see and their love is obvious and true. But no; I don’t like this ring. It’s such a common setting these days and the halo is just to make the center diamond appear larger than it is.

I know all the bachelor/bachelorette engagement rings are always made by neil lane but they always look exactly the same!

bonnie mcafee on

Being it is a Neil Lane ring which is the provider for all of the Bachelor and Bachelorette rings, I have to think either the Neil Lane did the ring either as a favor for Tony or at a discount for the advertising. Not to take anything away from the ring. It is exquisite.

You guys are getting a lot of facts wrong. First, you incorrectly said she had her heart broken by Chris. The other day you had a whole article about the winner, Nick, but got his last name wrong.

Way to go, Nick!

Who wouldn’t like a rock like that! Unfortunately Blakley could’t take the relocation well at all & went back home from what I hear. I thought all she wanted was “cable TV”. She should have thought that relocating would take time & patience, that she doesn’t seem to have! Too bad for Tony. He was so taken by her. I thought for sure it would last. Blakley has looked a gift horse in the mouth! What a crazy fool not to do her best to make it with a devoted guy like Tony! After all, she said he made her feel like she could be herself! Obviously the true self came out in her really fast because she left!
