Miley Cyrus’s New Hair Is ‘the Only Thing People Want to Talk About’

People have mixed opinions about Miley Cyrus‘s new hairstyle, but the starlet herself couldn’t be happier with the edgy look.

“It’s so easy [to manage], you know,” Cyrus told PEOPLE on Thursday at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles. “I love it. I feel really me and it’s good.”

But making such a drastic change does have its drawbacks.

“The only thing that’s hard is it’s the only thing people want to talk about,” Cyrus added. “And it’s like, ‘Oh, I didn’t recognize you!’”

Hopefully the same won’t be true on her wedding day, though from the sounds of it, the singer has plenty of time to let her hair grow in before walking down the aisle.

“I’ve got so much planning to do with the tours and getting the record out,” she shared, explaining why she may postpone her nuptials. “I mean I’m really excited to obviously get married, but, I kind of already feel married, and I know we’re forever. I don’t really need the paper right now, so I’m just really trying to work.”

I agree with Sita that she look like Amber Rose. If she had talent then we could talk about that but there is none o that. She has become a tabloidHo and there is nothing else to her.

The reason people only want to talk about your hair, Miley, is because that is the ONLY interesting thing about you. And it’s not even that interesting. Hasn’t Pink been sporting the exact same look for awhile now?

She looks good with short hear but not standing up on ends like that. Just brush it to a side or a pixie style.

I like the color and the fact that she cut it short. I think the long, banana curl, hair draped over the front of the dress hairdo has been done to death. Sometimes when I see these celebs wear their hair that way (you can’t even see what they’re wearing), I wish I could say to them. “Why don’t you cut that hair or pull back or up.” (This includes Catherine, Duchess of Cornwall). Short hair is just so much fresher and younger. However, I don’t like it all poofed up like that. That length of hair could be styled much more attractively and still be modern and cute.
