What We Learned About Rose Byrne's Style by Watching This Video

08/30/2012 at 10:30 AM ET

We already know Rose Byrne loves a jumpsuit (hello, Screen Actors Guild Awards). But how did she first fall in love with the silhouette?

“I was at a flea market in L.A. … and I got a jumpsuit there, a really disgusting polyester, black, classic ’70s jumpsuit, about five or six years ago,” she says in the latest episode of Harper’s Bazaar’s The Look, above. “And that was it.”

Though she’s since gained notoriety for the bold outfit choice — “I didn’t realize it would be such a controversy for a woman to wear pants in the year 2012,” she jokes — most days, you can find the Aussie actress in “boyish” separates or a vintage floral dress. “I have about 4,000 vintage floral dresses,” she admits. “I have a small problem.”

What else does Byrne discuss during her interview? Why shopping for jeans is hard, which designers make the best swimsuits and why she depends on a stylist who pushes the limits. Hear it all in the cute clip above. Tell us: Are you a fan of Byrne’s style?
