You’ll Never Believe What Kanye West Said About Kim Kardashian’s Shoes
Every new couple hits a rough patch sooner or later, but only Kayne West and Kim Kardashian would have their first disagreement over fashion.
Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians gave insight into the origin of the new look Kardashian has been flaunting in recent months. And the back story is what everyone’s been speculating about since she started dating the rapper: West overhauled Kardashian’s signature bombshell look to better complement his high-fashion style. “Kanye is coming over today with his stylist,” Kardashian says in the clip above, “and he’s giving me a full clothing makeover.”
Before West and his stylist, Renelou Padora, begin purging Kardashian’s closet, she admits she’s “so nervous” and even asks if it’s “bad to keep things.” According to the styling duo, the answer is yes.
“Babe you gotta really clean out everything,” West says. While going through his girlfriend’s bags and shoes, he jokingly points out a shearling-lined purse: “What about this joint right here?” Padora responds, “It’s a dog bag, no?” Needless to say, that item is added to the donation pile.
After filling rooms — yes, rooms – with Kardashian’s old garb (which will be auctioned off on eBay to benefit Life Change Community Church), her closet is refilled with the monochromatic and minimalist looks — “dope shi$,” according to West — she has recently been sporting.
But apparently, not everyone is sold on Kardashian’s new style. Later in the episode, Khloé Kardashian Odom joins her sister and is shocked to see the items she’s getting rid of — particularly a pair of furry calf-boots that Kardashian loved, but West dubbed “too ghetto.” Khloé’s justification for keeping the kicks? “You gotta have a little ghetto in your life!” And that’s why we love Khloé.
