Of course Miranda Kerr can still look flawless while chowing down on an ice cream sundae. The supermodel lets her hair down for a very personal T: The New York Times Style Magazine photo shoot — a shoot so personal that her husband, Orlando Bloom, was the photographer.

After shooting on location in Wellington, New Zealand — where the couple and their 19-month-old son lived for seven months beginning last December – the famous duo revealed why the naturally beautiful town makes the perfect hideaway.

“Like this, what we’re doing right now, just sitting in a park, out in public, I can’t do this anywhere else,” Kerr tells the magazine. “In Los Angeles, there are people camped out in our driveway every day, waiting to follow us wherever we go.”

Considered one of the most remote capitals in the world (it’s also where The Lord of The Rings was filmed), Wellington was a perfect backdrop as Bloom spent two days wandering the city photographing his wife. He captured her eating at their favorite local café (top), posing on a farm (bottom) and lounging around other scenic spots — all while Kerr wore designer garb by Derek Lam, Thakoon, The Row and rag & bone (among others).

To see more of the stunning photographs head over to NYTimes.com or pick up the Women’s Fall Fashion 2012 issue of T: The New York Times Style Magazine, on newsstands this weekend. Tell us: What do you think of Bloom’s photography skills?

I like them I do…but I am going to say the thing I’m probably not supposed to.
…Like she really ate that ice cream…come on.

I’m sure the supermodel pose in front of the sheep was intentionally ridiculous…

ME on

@Laura, I was thinking the same thing. :)

It’s not his photography skills; it’s all about how good she looks. Anyone could take a great picture of her.

@Laura, she probably did eat that ice cream. I think she is probably the kind of girl who indulges once in awhile. Not too uptight. @jcrewmom, the sheep are a part of the culture in that area. Why not include ALL of why they love the place.

The 1st photo looks as though she hasn’t even brushed her hair.

The pictures are great! They are such a cute couple. You see them together frequently which is wonderful to stay happily married. Being separated and across the world b/c of your careers is a common reason why famous couples divorce.

jcrewmom, you’re acting like an “ignorant American”, and it’s not pretty! New Zealand is a beautiful country, well-known for its sheep, which are a huge part of their economy! Kiwis are very proud of their fantastic landscape and the amazing natural beauty of their land. Their ability to be deal with everything from earthquakes to oil spills is well-known to all who pay attention, and they don’t care who you “are”.

It appears that Orlando and Miranda are very happy doing what they enjoy-acting, etc, and modeling–they are great at it, and they have the opportunity to travel to wonderful places like New Zealand with their little boy. Jealousy isn’t pretty on anyone…………

God, I love this couple. They are soooo perfect! LOL Even their baby is perfect. Would like more pics of him too, please, Orlando!

She’s just so naturally beautiful. It’s pleasant to look at someone famous who hasn’t allowed a surgeon to ruin them. Orlando is a gifted photographer and his subject is obviously very at ease. Congratulations to them for figuring out a way to stay out of the limelight. I wish more of the celebrities would do the same.
