Vanessa Lachey Asks: What Should I Wear to Give Birth?

Vanessa Lachey is having a pretty good Thursday.

“I just found out I don’t have to wear a hospital gown during labor & delivery,” she Tweeted earlier today. “I got very excited! Hmm, what to wear. #ItsTheLittleThings”

Well, Vanessa, since you asked … we have some suggestions. With 98 Degrees reuniting Friday on Today, how about a vintage band T-shirt? There’s one left on amazon.com (left), on sale for just $5.39. We think it has your name on it!

Or for something more fashion-forward, how about the military-inspired “Monroe” booties you recently designed for ShoeDazzle (left)? They’re sexy — and 100 percent of proceeds from sales benefit charitable organization Operation Shower, which throws baby showers for military families.

OK, so we kid. But you’ve done a great job of dressing your pregnant body so far, so we know you’ll wear what’s right when your baby does arrive.

One thing the TV personality won’t be wearing on her big day, though? Her wedding ring. “It’s official, my wedding rings don’t fit anymore,” she Tweeted. “I still LOVE you @NickSLachey, but apparently my chunky preggo knuckles don’t.” Tell us: What do you think Lachey should wear during delivery? Moms, did you wear something different than a hospital gown?

I wore a longer nightgown…then eventually a hospital gown…so much easier since they have to have access to your belly for all the lovely monitors.

I think women usually wear a hospital gown? But I could be wrong.

Who cares. You are there to give birth not to model.

This ding-bat doesn’t know what to wear for delivery. Try starting with a brain in the head and work from there. Why doesn’t she challenge herself and maybe she’ll come up with the correct attire. Sometimes, you have to wonder how some people end up as parents?

Trust me go with the hospital gown. Labor can get messy. In the moment you wont give a care in the world about what your wearing.

They make maternity nightwear…gown/robe or 2 piece pajamas. If a water birth is planned, a sports bra and a smile are probably all you will need.

I wore the hospital gown…why would I even bother with trying to look cute?? Who gives a rats behind?? I was in so much pain that my wardrobe was the last thing on my mind lol.

A sexy miniskirt & hooker heels…or a Jessica Simpson original (Wait same thing)

Are you kidding me? What a narcissist.

Who cares what you are wearing! Oh these celebrities kill me! When you are in labor what you are wearing is the last thing on your mind. You are more concerned about getting your child out safely! I couldn’t even tell you what I wore, I was concentrating more on the pain I was in!!! Maybe, just maybe Vanessa should be more concerned with that then her outfit…
