Reem Acra Designs Dream Wedding Dresses for Jennifer Aniston

We’ve already discussed Jennifer Aniston‘s potential wedding gown silhouettes, but designer Reem Acra took the conversation a step further this week, designing fantastically gorgeous (and hypothetical) gowns for the newly minted bride-to-be.

Acra, who’s designed wedding gowns for stars like LeAnn Rimes and Jenna Dewan-Tatum, sketched two dresses for Aniston at PEOPLE’s request: one more princess-like, fitted to the waist and finished with an elaborate skirt (left), and another that’s glimmering and form-fitting with a complementary veil (right).

When Aniston married Brad Pitt in 2000, the actress went somewhat simple, choosing a form-fitting, beaded gown by designer Lawrence Steele. She kept the touches — a veil and jewelry — traditional.

The designer calls the actress “the epitome of effortless beauty” — and we know she’d look even more beautiful in either of these elegant gowns. Tell us: What do you think of these sketches? And what do you envision Aniston wearing on her wedding day?

This is a misleading headline, it sounds as though Acra was chosen as Aniston’s designer which is not the case. As for the designs themselves, I agree with everyone who stated that that is not her style at all, she is modern, minimal and very edgy, her first wedding dress was very modern-chic as well, not big or dramatic at all..Best of luck to her and her fiancé, they’re both very talented and great looking, their kids will have very intense and beautiful blue/green eyes =)

These potential gowns are always so pointless. No one ever seems to to take the bride’s personal style into account. When have we EVER seen Jen Aniston in a big, poofy dress?

I like the 2nd dress best. I can just see her in this dress. Simple(effortless beauty) was with BP. I hope she puts on the glitz with this one. Above all I just wish her true and forever happiness, and a beautiful baby. I maybe 2 at the most.

i like the one on the right more. i think the one on the left’s a bit too much. but jen will look fab in any dress. :)

I thought that I heard that she is getting married on a beach…maybe somthing shorter, but not too much. Something that has a few different lengths. One should touch the ground, I think. But, what do I know?

Personally, I don’t think either design represents Jennifer’s style. Has the designer ever seen Jennifer on the red carpet or any pictures of this woman at all??? Jennifer’s style is more simple, classy and understated. Less glitzy then either of these dresses. I can’t picture her wearing the first gown at all…way too much dress. And the second one has too much beading. Over-the-top for Jennifer. Whatever she is going to wear, she will be beautiful! I love her!! A real class act!

I thought something more Grecian would suite her to honor her father’s native country. She also is very Greek in her views.
