Check Out Kate’s Pretty New Updo

We can all agree on one thing: the Duchess of Cambridge always looks flawless. But since we’re used to seeing her with her luscious brown locks worn flowing and down, we did a double-take Monday night when we spotted her donning a chic, unlikely updo.

Kate flew solo to a Creative Industries reception in London’s Piccadilly to support the Government’s GREAT campaign, looking stunning a blue-gray Roksanda Ilincic knee-length number paired with Kiki McDonough drop earrings, perfectly blushed cheeks and her pulled-back ‘do.

The low, side chignon was elegant, but surprisingly not stuffy at all — and we kind of love seeing Kate switching it up and taking some (appropriate) style risks. Tell us: Do you prefer Kate’s hair pulled back or down? Vote below!
